#Web3 Starter Pak Making a Podcast
October 16th, 2022
Hey.
dcbk2laWhat's up?
dcbk2laIf you talking, I can't hear you.
dcbk2laOh shoot.
kitbaronessI'm like, no, she's over here putting together starter pack for a pocket. She has to remember to hit them. You button right.
dcbk2laI love.
dcbk2laUh, huh.
dcbk2laYep.
dcbk2laI just randomly made that, wrote it out just if anybody wanted to pop in. And they're also curious like how does this work but impromptu. I just got done talking to my son over the phone. He's at his dad's house and I'm used to, you know, trying to switch between real life situation like a regular phone call versus doing Twitter spaces. You're used to like ohh doing stuff, putting your phone in your pocket, not worrying about, you know, muting or unmuting.
kitbaronessSo I apologize. Were you?
kitbaronessNo, you kidding me. Like, thank you so much for this. This is fucking amazing. Like for like helping me with this. This is incredible.
dcbk2laYeah, you know, The thing is, people think it's a lot harder to create a podcast than it really is because what we're currently doing in Twitter spaces and we're we're holding our own space with a certain theme. We can podcast it off of the recordings using the Twitter APIs. You don't have to have a special separate show and upload and have a hosting website for the data, etcetera. It's all right there. You create an RSS feed and you can use that one link to.
kitbaronessTransmit over all of the podcast applications.
kitbaronessThat's so dope.
dcbk2laHmm.
kitbaronessOK.
kitbaronessAnd one second, I wanna get WAVY in here. Hold on one second. I just want to send this to him.
dcbk2la5/8 PM maybe?
dcbk2laOK, awesome. Wait, what is he sending me? What is this stuff?
dcbk2laDon't respond with anything, um, you know, long thread or provocation. Just say get your ass in here.
kitbaronessThat's why I said get in here quick.
dcbk2laOhh, he's sending me keywords. I got you, I got you, I got you.
dcbk2laOK, dope.
dcbk2laDo do do do.
dcbk2laThere you go. I just sent you a cohost if you wanna go ahead and uh, send my mics out to your friends.
kitbaronessGot it.
dcbk2laYo WAVY.
dcbk2laCheck this out kit. It literally just showed me in a minute and 1/2 how to essentially like get the stuff that we're doing every single time, like every Twitter space or whichever one we want to like, upload to a podcast and if you got more than 50 unique visitors.
dcbk2laYou can fucking monetize.
dcbk2laSorry, champ. Man, I was just joining. Say that again, please.
7808ethWe're gonna we're gonna learn in about the next 60 to 120 seconds, or maybe even 5 minutes, exactly how easy it is to turn what we do into a podcast and start monetizing it.
dcbk2laLove that.
7808ethMe too kit, WAVY WAVY kit.
dcbk2laPleasure you can.
7808ethUm.
7808ethYes, I I loved hearing you earlier, WAVY. I actually reached out to NFL and sent him a message just asking if it's OK if I turned his previous space into a podcast. And it's it's not that I'm trying to get monetization from other people's content. It's more or less just adding content to what I currently have, which is the Web 3 Starter pack.
kitbaronessHonestly happy for you to share and share a wide. The more people that we can bring in the better. So like for me it's open content.
7808ethIt it is because Twitter API's anybody can actually utilize the source codes and access. However, creating a podcast. I want people that are already doing this in Twitter spaces to make their own podcasts if they have a general theme and is consistent. So I try. I sent a video over to NFL which was a minute 49 seconds and I'm just going to take that one shot and just upload on YouTube sometime. That way I don't have to redo and keep explaining.
kitbaronessBut you can go ahead and use there's apps, or if you're actually a dev, you can go ahead and just pull the APIs and request, you know, do a remote call that requests the RSS feeds or the data directly from Twitter. But I use NFT talkspace or NFT talk dot space if it's not already archived, you can actually use the URL code from Twitter for that particular space, submit it, and it will automatically create a transcript for you in a separate file.
kitbaronessLove that, love that, love that.
7808ethHmm, Jason, it also creates RSS feeds. It creates MP3 files, OG and AAC files.
kitbaronessPrefer. Go ahead.
kitbaronessThat's because champ.
7808ethOK. Real quick, real quick, real quick, just quick question. Yeah.
dcbk2laYeah, we.
dcbk2laChamp, what I was gonna say was what I would do with all of that content, um, is on a domain of your choosing. Uh, hopefully a dot E we can have a Twitter diary or a schedule or a calendar and basically have a landing page for every single podcast that's done. And then the transcript is actually uploaded as content, and that's the content that Google would index and rank. So all of a sudden, just my.
7808ethGoing through this podcast UM service, we've all you know we've got a whole bunch of web content for Google.
7808ethEggs.
7808ethGot it. OK. So now just one more like a couple steps back really, really quickly. So now I am. So now essentially I have to go request my data, right? Request my archive data or you're saying if I don't have a.
dcbk2laYeah.
dcbk2laYeah.
7808ethOK, I'm I'm gonna tell you that not everything's picked up by the bot for recorded spaces.
kitbaronessAnd if you create a profile on NFT talkspace and you knew who Kabir was, he's the founder of it and.
kitbaronessYeah.
dcbk2laThe buy all of Mackley picks up NFT web three like certain keywords, but if you're in a space and you know the space was recorded and you're not seeing it in a space that you visited, you can do a callback like a just request it straight from the URL.
kitbaronessOh, OK got it.
dcbk2laHmm.
kitbaronessSweet.
dcbk2laYep, and preferably you can create a podcast directly from NFT talk space using the JSON or the RSS feed. But preferably I like to actually download it myself and upload it on anchor dot FM. That way I have it directly to me that also helps with the.
kitbaronessHmm.
dcbk2laAuthentication, like I told you previously in our DMS on how do they understand that the monetization goes to you because the hosting service is from you?
kitbaronessAh.
dcbk2laGot it. And I can do this on a dot etc no problem.
dcbk2laOffered.
kitbaronessLeaving, yeah.
dcbk2laYou can create a. You can so if you have an actual website with a hosting service which is a DNS.
kitbaronessOh, we're gonna have to make it. OK, I got it. Well, yeah, we have. You got me, wave. You got me.
dcbk2laOK.
dcbk2laYeah, yeah, we can. We can.
7808ethOK, yeah, it's just creating a security key token.
kitbaronessYeah, yeah.
dcbk2laYeah, we we can do all that later, dude. Like first step is get all the accounts that are up and then yeah start start getting it uploaded and then we'd wanna optimize every single potential field that the I think is audible and the platform that I think yeah, whatever fields they allow us to optimize, we optimize them to death.
7808ethYeah, keep showed me. She sent me the video. I'll send it to you. It's got everything, bro. It's got Apple, Spotify, and a bunch of others that you showed me. What was the one kid that you said you you did or you didn't? Like I forgot which one it was.
dcbk2laThink.
dcbk2laGot it.
dcbk2laHmm.
dcbk2laRight now I focus on iHeartRadio, Apple anchor or yeah, anchors. The hosting for me because it's a free service on Spotify. Oh, I use, yeah, Apple Music, I iHeartRadio and Spotify. The other ones, I didn't read through their own user agreement because they do share information to who their business partners are and I would like to read the paperwork.
kitbaronessOh, OK, got you. Um, so now and none of the there's no cost to any of this via the way you do it and the way you like you prefer to do it.
dcbk2laRight. There's no cost. The NFT talks dot space I'm an ambassador for and currently what we're working on is utilizing that platform like being the Google version for people that are trying to do hosting spaces and so forth. That's why the transcripts are so great at this point in time. But I'm not going to get into two left field on that.
kitbaronessOh my God, I think I was so early with Kabir. I was at his first ever Twitter space where he he taught, he taught us everything. And I'm like, Oh my God, this is great. And I left it up to my buddy who's like we're building another. Like we're building a totally separate site. But we thought it was so cool. But I never got the ambassador tag. And I'm just like, wait, I could have learned, been learning this shit this entire time. This is amazing. OK, got it.
dcbk2laSo that's the whole, the whole point is that there will be affiliate program, the platform is completely free and if you actually have your own platforms you can associate to it and affiliates for a kickback for their advertising because just like Google they use their analytics to have an affiliate program for all these other services as same with ads and sponsorships but.
kitbaronessYep.
dcbk2laTrying to avoid and redirect this conversation back to podcast for monetization, I I use anchor dot FM, which is the creators of podcast for Spotify. It's a free service. They want people to upload their content because they also have an affiliate program that monetizes with ads. So the more people that bring on to their platform to listen in and hear the ad services, they will give you a kickback. So the ad services are.
kitbaronessUp your first podcast. You have to have 50 different unique listeners to activate your magnetizations.
kitbaronessCool, so the threshold isn't too high in order to kind of get activated pretty quickly, right?
7808ethRight, right. I'm.
kitbaroness50 at any point.
dcbk2laYep, Yep. Right now I'm only at 38. I have a lot of different listens, but there are only 38 unique.
kitbaronessSo she share the link with us, so we can kind of speculate around with our network.
7808ethYeah, kid, we'll pack your joints in hell, yeah.
dcbk2laOhh OK good, good, good.
dcbk2laI sent the link to you NFL, but if you guys go to, I mean you can go ahead and go on to Apple and do a quick search. You can write my name Kit Baroness and we'll say Web 3 Starter pack. You can click on it, listen in the if you go directly to the anchor dot FM, that's the website and do forward slash kit bareness.
kitbaronessWait.
dcbk2laKit have you got it on your Twitter handle or your profile? Or maybe a link tree?
7808ethI have it on my linktree, yes.
kitbaronessPerfect. OK, I'm gonna grab it from your country.
7808ethLet me see, wait and kid. Just so I understand like 50 unique meaning it doesn't have to happen live. It could be 50 whenever.
dcbk2laYes, Sir.
kitbaronessOhh I got you.
dcbk2laGreat.
dcbk2laIsn't that exciting?
kitbaronessYeah.
dcbk2laThat's amazing.
dcbk2laOh my God we're just gonna like scratch each other's back between me. You. Oh my God. I'm gonna get the Shark Tank crew in here. They had 500 people the last couple weeks. I've been helping Steven with that. Oh my God, we're going to dominate.
dcbk2laAnd The thing is, it's a starter kit, so how can they not want to listen to it, right?
7808ethCorrect.
dcbk2laWell, I I don't articulate myself very well. A little self-conscious, so that's why you tend to see me pop into spaces. But I don't normally speak.
kitbaronessI am so happy that I yelled your name at the end of that. Oh my God.
dcbk2laYeah.
dcbk2laI mean, champ, I'm happy you you grab me just now. I was literally about to sign off and then I thought OK, just gotta be important. That kit you you're really you're articulating yourself beautifully. Like I I I'm thinking already you're a veteran. I'm like how could I have not known about kid.
7808ethMe too. I'm like, she's been doing this for a minute.
dcbk2laI'm actually uh, kits handler, so all inquiries you can pass through me and I'll.
jown_ivAnd who are you?
dcbk2laI am shinigami.
jown_ivAnd he got me.
dcbk2laAlso known as. Also known as. Also known as multiple handles.
kitbaronessAKA AKA AKA We got you.
dcbk2laRight.
dcbk2laYou're welcome. Thank you for joining.
jown_ivI will.
jown_ivIt's to the gods all of your wishes.
jown_ivAnd they will come true.
jown_ivThank you.
dcbk2laMuch appreciated. If you need to sacrifice the guy down there with the the the punk with the purple hat on, you could yeah, whatever you need, sacrifice him, whatever. We're good.
dcbk2laYeah, he's he's first for sure.
jown_ivYeah, forget that guy. Now down. Don's cool. That's my Nigerian connection. So, you know, let's chill on him. He's dope, but yeah, 888.
dcbk2laHe's out of here.
dcbk2laYour.
jown_ivRight here.
dcbk2laOK.
dcbk2laDid you have any more questions? I opened the space up really quick just to it's easier to speak rather than text back and forth.
kitbaronessYep.
dcbk2laYeah.
kitbaronessNo, I'm just gonna play with this. I'm gonna. I'm just gonna play around with this, make sure that I got it right. I might have one or two extra questions, but my dog is looking like he's gonna fucking shoot me. Like, yo, I gotta pee. You're gonna take me outside or what?
dcbk2laOK. Just a quick question, can we do like multiple collaboration on the podcast like can can you have like teams and multiple logins?
7808ethOK. Yeah.
7808ethUnfortunately I haven't gotten that far with anchor dot FM but but what happens is you can actually upload the same information onto your.
kitbaronessSo let's say someone has a profile on Apple and you have your anchor FM. You can actually take that profile from somebody elses and you can actually add it into your anchor dot FM.
kitbaronessOK, I got you. I got you.
7808ethAt that point in time, there will be a verifiable like token sent to them. Like did you approve this, that this content is yours, you, you, you approved that and that's the only collaboration I can think of. And that way the monetization can be pulled from all these other accounts that's actually doing the feed and you'll have to split it between you guys in your own way.
kitbaronessOhh no I wasn't even. I wasn't even. I was thinking more like a champ can upload the videos and then I can optimize all the content in the fields and just make sure they're highly relevant for the obviously for the audible search engine.
7808ethYeah, yeah, the I'm using the free versions at this point in time. There is a version of it for the future. I was going to actually look into it, but I haven't gotten that far. Again, starter pack.
kitbaronessOK.
7808ethYeah, maybe we can help you out with that because we're definitely gonna explore like it's like yeah, maybe he's gonna let me know in two seconds like if it's something that we need to pay for. Like we're definitely we're gonna get like that much more out of it because we've correct me if I'm wrong, but like there's monetization every which way from Sunday here between what you're going to do with the search or we're going to do with the podcast itself like just listening. I mean look, it's not
dcbk2laOhh it's all like it's perfect because to start building that content now, getting it indexed on theme, categorized already like it I've got I've got custom blog, almost podcast templates where I've got a podcast calendar index, learning page, beautiful responsive structure and then leads through to individual podcast pages and then the structure of the learning.
7808ethDope.
dcbk2laPage shows you like a a waveform with the play button and then below you've got like the profiles of who might be speaking because I I built this already for the web three company I was working for before. But yeah, it was all of my wireframes and templates so I would just repeat the process.
7808ethWell, one of the.
kitbaronessMaybe we can give one to the kid. Yeah.
dcbk2laLove.
7808ethOne of the things though that you're Speaking of, uh, not using anchor dot FM but using the NFT talkspace because they did activate the RSS and the JSON. So without even downloading, you're able to follow someone's RSS feed based off their handle of the spaces they're currently into, what they've already archived and did a call request.
kitbaronessYou can make podcasts directly from that. There also is collaborations for in the future on the road map for monetization through the affiliate program.
kitbaronessAlright. Did Kabir give you guys like a course or was this just kind of like a quick like Twitter space where you all just sat in there and we're like, you're going to be ambassadors and that was it?
dcbk2laWell, you can. There's still time if you wanna get ahold of it. And also there's a ambassador request link directly off the website. I think the ambassador probably up to, I think it's up to 1000 ambassadors allowed at this point in time and still open it. There's only 25 of us at this point in time.
kitbaronessI mean, listen, if I if I'm gonna be #1 on that God damn ENS leaderboard, alright? If I'm busting my we're busting our ass Weezy for that long, we might as well get something out of it. You know? I'm saying additional we're helping out here.
dcbk2laYeah.
dcbk2laWell, his company is very small. It's a, it's a subsidiary basically. It's not even a subsidiary, not tied into his other businesses. So he currently only has 10 devs that are working very hard diligently and recently he just sent someone out to Japan to basically take take control of some situation that need to be done. So he he's kind of out of pocket until the beginning of November.
kitbaronessYeah that that's OK though like 10 devs in the in the web two world might not seem like a lot in the web three world. That's a shit ton. And if that's what he's doing. I remember sitting in with him that first thing he's going to go out and raise some serious money. Money he's got the VC connects to do it to the tune of I think like 8 like an 8 like a a good healthy 8 figure sums what he was mentioning. So he's definitely somebody like that I made sure to keep in the network because super smart
dcbk2laHoly shit.
dcbk2laIt's so weird how this stuff plays out, isn't it?
dcbk2laIt well, you know it's so funny being being on Twitter and we try staying out of Echo chamber but our circles are so small you you might try to you know divergence from the your usual spaces and you run into the same faces.
kitbaronessYou're right.
dcbk2laWith you any other questions? I don't want to keep kit.
dcbk2laNah, Nah, we good, man. But again, pleasure to meet you. I'm surprised we didn't meet before, but yeah, I have no doubt we'll be crossing paths again very frequently.
7808ethSeriously.
dcbk2laWell.
kitbaronessYeah, if you have any. Uh.
jown_ivLegal or monetary suggestions or needs? Go ahead, run it through me.
jown_ivAnd I'll pass it on to kit.
jown_ivAlright, it OK AKA AKA you got it bro.
dcbk2laI appreciate you guys popping in here and asking questions. My DM's are open. I don't expect follow backs, but I just followed both of you, WAVY and NFL. And if you have questions and want to collaborate and get you know, back back information or data, just let me know. Take care.
kitbaronessYeah, let's. Yeah. Let's do this. Thank you.
dcbk2laThanks, guys. Take care.
7808ethAppreciate it.
dcbk2laYeah, sorry for being a smart ass by the way. I appreciate you guys and.
jown_ivNana, you're good. Fam man, you're good.
7808ethYou good, bro? You good?
dcbk2laBye.
kitbaroness
