Hellbenders BiP What do we do with the loot
December 9th, 2022
Hey, hey, hey.
motocoasterHello, hello, it says hello. What do we do with the loot?
kidonthephoenixI love that.
kidonthephoenixSplit it up.
motocoasterHow you doing?
kidonthephoenixI'm fabulous, um.
motocoasterJust got off. I know this being recorded and people are going to hear it and I wasn't gonna announce it till Monday, but I'm super psyched we got we got fwas on board.
motocoasterIs our.
motocoasterTheir partnership director.
motocoasterOhh.
kidonthephoenixSo, you know flaws, right?
motocoasterYeah, yeah. We met in Seattle and we've we've kept in contact quite a bit actually.
kidonthephoenixYeah, he said he loves you. He he said, you know.
motocoasterYour presence is one of the things that that made him really want to do this.
motocoasterYeah I I've really encouraged him early on to actually meant one of his first like he minted an NFT and.
kidonthephoenixJust got really active in the in the community and.
kidonthephoenixYeah, it's good to see. Like when you give some people some encouragement and then you see them like run with it and and take it like just go with it, you know, and like find their way.
kidonthephoenixThe mushroom girl.
kidonthephoenixIt's for me. It's kind of like Alicia, who we both met, you know, back in Seattle. She was the one who had that, exactly.
motocoasterYeah, yeah.
kidonthephoenixYeah, I mean, she's, she actually works for Solano Labs now. She's part of the mobile team, so.
motocoasterRight on, yeah, she, she yeah, you could tell. She had a great hand on her shoulders for sure. And.
kidonthephoenixUh, the the the mushroom thing was kind of cool, like the concept of like I learned a lot about.
kidonthephoenixAnd I've and I've heard you talk about it too in terms of you know the symbiotic relationship of mushrooms and how they how it works on this like base layer through the world like it's so cool like.
kidonthephoenixIt was fascinating.
kidonthephoenixYeah, someday people are going to get it. I mean, I I'm calling it the mycelial age where it's just.
motocoasterYou know, that's what. Uh.
motocoasterPeople realize that it's the base layer of humanity, and not just.
motocoasterNot just the forest or the OR these other ecosystems.
motocoasterBuying art in this one, right? Some people don't want to buy art.
kidonthephoenixI don't. I don't think we're buying art today, babe.
kidonthephoenixBut.
motocoasterIt's part.
motocoasterI think we're scouting. We're scouting people to buy art from.
kidonthephoenixIt's definitely part of the conversation.
motocoasterYeah, please.
motocoasterYeah, it's yeah. So yes. And by all people.
kidonthephoenixWrite anybody you'd like there, babe. Please become our marketing and community manager. Thank you.
kidonthephoenixThat's nice. And she's, she's, she's on our team. She's supporting us. So.
kidonthephoenixAbsolutely.
motocoasterAnd usually go by Rebecca or Raven.
motocoasterShe goes by Rebecca, but she just likes the suit. I I tried to like explain to her the suit anonymous thing, how you be. And she had this like alter ego already established like Raven, Kitana like.
kidonthephoenixI love it.
motocoasterAnd back from when we were on drugs, he would do fraudulent like things and stuff of that nature and have to have these like fit and she would make that was her fake name.
kidonthephoenixAnd uh, yeah.
kidonthephoenixAnd now she's like.
kidonthephoenixShe's been clean three years, Dave.
kidonthephoenixYeah.
kidonthephoenixAll right. Congrats.
motocoasterYeah, she's uh and and she said she's the reason I'm clean now. So like honestly, if it wasn't for her, I man, I've been dead by now for sure.
kidonthephoenixYeah, I heard the story. I mean, Rebecca, congratulations and thank you because.
motocoasterHe said. Thank you.
kidonthephoenixMan, we need the kid. Whole. Intact, sober, conscious.
motocoasterYeah.
motocoasterDefinitely sober me the second I start getting high. I'm of no use to anything.
kidonthephoenixWell.
motocoasterBut yeah, I'm excited for today. What you got on the pipeline on the agenda there, you were kind of getting into it a little bit.
kidonthephoenixWell, this is also still a bridge to this first week was mostly just getting our.
motocoasterOur footing.
motocoasterI sent out the.
motocoasterActually, maybe I'll pin that tweet as well. I mean, I'll put it up here.
motocoasterUh, where is it?
motocoasterOhh I guess I can't do it from my browser. I'll do it from here.
motocoasterBut what we're going to be doing is.
motocoasterEach week we're going to have this cadence. So Monday, mobile Monday, we're going to really go through, you know, feature requests and app design Tuesday, I'm calling trauma Tuesday because, you know, my belief is everybody who participates in Western civilization is traumatized to 1 degree or another. But this is just sort of how we we get to the, the root of ourselves, the core of ourselves. I like to say every wound is a gift. So this is just the way we actually discover and share our.
motocoasterGifts by exploring wounds. Wealthy Wednesday. That's sort of what we're going to be doing today. I mean, really talking about money, because one of the things is people don't.
motocoasterIt's money, religion, sex and politics that people can't really talk about anymore without creating some sort of, like in polite company, you know? It used to be people talk politics all the time, but now it's polarizing.
motocoasterYou know, sitting around the dinner table, people rarely talk about their sex life, you know, if they're out to dinner with people. And they really rarely talk about money, usually the money stuff.
motocoasterIs all about.
motocoasterWhen money comes up, people think it's going to be a scam. You know if and and even a couple of people mentioned, you know message me and said you know this topic of splitting up the loop makes it sound like a scam. I'm like that's, you know, we got to get beyond that. We really have to talk about how we're going to.
motocoasterMake money for ourselves and and for each other and support this whole community because it's not economically viable. You can forget about it.
motocoasterSo anyway, that's what Wednesdays are going to be about. That's partially what today is about, Thursday, Thursday. I mean, I really want that to be sort of a hot tub, like the dating pool, you know, let people come up, present themselves. I know it's a big part. I mean, we're both.
motocoasterOld and aren't part of that. And I'll never forget when I had my wife on FaceTime. And you, you said you're married with this complete.
motocoasterOh my gosh.
kidonthephoenixMy bad.
kidonthephoenixMy wife will not let me forget that.
motocoasterThat's that's where. That's a perfect example of my no filter.
kidonthephoenixYeah.
kidonthephoenixYeah, exactly, exactly. And then what was worse is I immediately put it on mute and she was like, which made me seem really guilty even though I wasn't at all.
motocoasterUmm.
motocoasterYeah, I yeah, I never, you know, I didn't mean it. And that's The thing is like when I do my no filter thing, like I never mean anything by it. Like it's just like.
kidonthephoenixI was just surprised. I didn't know it. I didn't. I don't think sometimes before I speak, and I think Rebecca did the test to that. Give us an emoji if if you wish, I thought before I spoke a little bit more.
kidonthephoenixDo you understand? What, kid? What's up, my guy? I'm the same.
fwazsolFlowers in the house.
kidonthephoenixHey, hey.
kidonthephoenixYeah, what's going on? I'm. I'm the same way, dude. Like, I'll be, I'll be like, talking to my parents and like, you know, I'll slip the F word sometimes and I'll just like, whoops.
fwazsolYou know, it's just like one of those things. It's like, yeah, my bad. And then, you know, like my parents are kind of conservative so they, they, they don't really speak that much. They don't really like, you know, cost that much and stuff like that. So it's just like, you know, what's my bad, shouldn't have said that. Pardon my French kind of situation. So yeah, like I just hopped in at the right time. So yeah, thinking before you speak, like for sure, I can definitely relate. But dude, how yo
fwazsolIt feels like it just crazy this.
kidonthephoenixDefinitely.
fwazsolThe Web 3 space makes time just become so relative like yeah, it's I've been good. Well I I mean I've I've had quite a bit of ups and downs over the past few months. But today I'm doing good. So that's the present moment is what matters and and yeah.
kidonthephoenixI'm glad. I'm glad to hear that, dude. I'm glad to hear that for you, brother. Like, really? Like, I, I, I, I, I definitely know about those ups and downs and I know those struggles. And you know, it's one of those things. What's up, pork dude?
fwazsolPork in the house.
kidonthephoenixNo, but.
kidonthephoenixOh, I thought this was another pork. I'm sorry, I thought it was. I thought it was a different pork.
fwazsolBut this pork is clutch right here. This is.
kidonthephoenixYeah.
kidonthephoenixWork is OK pork is pork, dude. Like whatever. Like pork, pork and pork is pork. I'm sorry, dude. Like like there, there. We had a mod in Chicken tribe called Pork and I was like see, I didn't think before I spoke there. They're prime moment right there. So yeah.
fwazsolUmm.
fwazsolPoint point in action.
kidonthephoenixExactly.
fwazsolWell, this is great because it's going to make my job as host really easy with you guys because you're just going to blurt out really controversial stuff.
motocoasterAnd people just start flocking.
motocoasterI like that you appreciate that.
kidonthephoenixYeah, I know. Definitely. It it it is what? Thirsty Thursday? Meet and socialize or no wait, no, it's Friday. Ohh shell you're ohh shoot whoops. My bad.
fwazsolOhh OK.
fwazsolI missed that.
fwazsolNo so we have this is all starting next week like this this you know that what I just posted there and that's where we're just covering. So today is kind of the end of just kid and I trying to get our.
motocoasterOur sea legs, you know, figure out what we're doing, how we're doing it. I should actually probably set the room just for those people who've joined what we're doing. You know, this whole thing is building in public. So we got a $36,000.
motocoasterSalonia mobile grant.
motocoasterOur goal is to create something more valuable than Elon Musk's $44 billion Twitter investment.
motocoasterThe $36,000, so to do that we've got, we want the whole community involved.
motocoasterAnd we've had different sessions on different topics.
motocoasterAnd.
motocoasterToday's topic will be, you know, it's basically out money. And I want us to really talk about money in the future. That's what we're going to do on wealthy Wednesday. But I want money to come out of the closet. I don't, you know, I think people should understand it more, talk about it more, and we should talk about how we're all going to get wealthy and how this, this Dow is going to have plenty of money to support us in all of our creative endeavors.
motocoasterBut just before you you hopped in, I covered mobile Monday, so that's going to be app design.
motocoasterFeature request trauma Tuesday going deep into our own stories and, you know, sharing parts of ourselves, wealthy Wednesday as I mentioned, is going to be this what we're going to be doing today, which is talk about money, how how we're going to make money, things about royalties and how we're not going to be dependent on royalties and, you know, the money ecosystem as a whole. Thirsty Thursday is going to be about, you know, for us old people, it's going to be about matchmaking for young people
motocoasterYou know, it's getting more. It's just going to be basically more social than the other days. And we're going to bring up people who, I mean everybody loves a good simple opportunity. That just is what made web three, web three. So whether you're male, female, whatever, we're going to, we're going to bring people up and we're all going to turn into simps in front of them. So I just thought that would be something that would be attractive to people.
motocoasterUm, and then feature Friday is going to be like what we did yesterday. But it's not just going to be limited to one of one art. We're also going to ask for generative collections entrepreneurs. You know, people selling.
motocoasterCBD oil, whatever you want to shell. This is the date where you know we're going to get you up. And it's not going to be like, I really don't like those things like chill and villain does where, you know, Shark Tank like like things where it's antagonistic. I mean, what I want this to be is like the hot tub, not the Shark Tank where we're all in this cozy warm water together and we're just vibing on all these amazing projects instead of.
motocoasterYou know, trying to.
motocoasterTake people down and you know all that. So that's the idea.
motocoasterThis sounds like.
fwazsolA perfect atmosphere to be in.
fwazsolPlay.
fwazsolAwesome. Well, I actually sort of.
motocoasterSounds so comfortable I could pee in it.
kidonthephoenixBut please don't.
motocoasterI know. Like, it's like it just it just it sounds it sounds so comfortable right now. Like I just feel cozy, you know, like I'm not, I'm not like laying down, but I'm sitting on my bed and I'm just like, just cozy.
fwazsolWell, I'm really glad that this is audio only.
motocoasterUmm.
motocoasterBecause you might make one of those mistakes, like the guy from The New Yorker did on the zoom.
motocoasterWell, I was just.
kidonthephoenixOhh no no no I'm not that bad, trust me.
fwazsolI was just getting ready for work here and I said babe, I gotta go to work and she's like, you going to work in your underwear.
kidonthephoenixYeah, then it's like, well, that's the, that's the beauty of web 3.
kidonthephoenixUh, yeah that's like it's it's the beauty. And sometimes like I I found myself like you know like in this weird schedule because you you know you work in like UTC minus whatever time zone. You're like devs and you know team are on right like and and all your community are on so like everyone's like in this space like I'm sure like we're from like different parts of the world and like for me it's PST. So I wake up like I believe at the end of the time zones and stuff like that. So I'm like UTC mi
fwazsolSo my GMs don't even count as GMs technically.
fwazsolTo unless they're there.
fwazsolIt's always a good time for teams.
kidonthephoenixYeah, it's always time for GM, actually. That's why, yeah, I got the GM on the the tag, but you know, it is what it is. But I did like I I don't want to like take over.
fwazsolPlease do.
motocoasterBut it's it's Friday, right? Like it says, show your art and projects for us to buy. I mean, I'm not selling anything, but I'm curious on like I have like. So I I don't know, kid, you know I take film photos, right? Like, I don't know if you remember, we spoke in Seattle.
fwazsolYeah, yeah, I've been, I was just talking to Dave about that, about how I remember uh, encouraging you to, to release cement your first collection there. And I remember, I can, I remember it.
kidonthephoenixYeah. So I did, I did my hall. I actually made my hall Plex actually that that day. So I mean the hall Plex doesn't exist anymore obviously, but I'm just going to share it in this space.
fwazsolWell, I I can get you a I can get you a form function invite if you wanna be a form function creator.
kidonthephoenixWhich is, you know, anybody could get on exchange, but form function you have to apply and it's kind of a little bit more of a process, but I can I can give you an invite and then you don't even have to go through that. You're just immediately just so form function creator.
kidonthephoenixWell, I mean, I haven't edited any of my art. And I mean, I've done some AI stuff, but like, yeah, that'd be that'd be amazing. Thank you, man. I would really appreciate that. That'd be fantastic. But I just shared a post.
fwazsolYeah start start doing some editing get get things cohesive. Uh kind of curate like a something that some kind of a series and yeah and when you when you're ready let me know we'll get you a I mean we can go ahead and get you the invite and you can set up your set up your page and then that way.
kidonthephoenixYou already know it's gonna be about birds.
fwazsolLike.
fwazsolLook at the current time.
fwazsolYeah, hey, you're speaking my language, brother.
kidonthephoenixYeah, look at the shared post. So that's one of the the pictures that I've, I've taken just like I was sitting in my car and just this like random bird just popped up next to this car next to me and I was like, oh cool, just going to take that in film.
fwazsolAppreciate you, brother.
fwazsolMy my lady my lady just became a huge fan of yours instantly. So I have a feeling she'll be she'll be spending our money on your art in no time my friend she loves birds when it's not it's not just the bird she loves but it's the what you just said. It's the just the bird just natural like in most people wouldn't wouldn't appreciate it. They wouldn't acknowledge like this Raven or whatever that's just there like and she she's the kind of person like.
kidonthephoenixHe stops whatever she's doing and she just appreciates the beauty in that bird in that moment.
kidonthephoenixYeah.
kidonthephoenixYes, dude, exactly. Like sometimes like you just have to just stop and like really like, I mean, I mean it's, it's great out here because I mean I'm, I'm in Vegas, right. So sometimes you can hit these mountains and you can just.
fwazsolI mean lately it's been super cold, but I went up to like these hills basically and they're not that high, but it's just silent. You know, it's just pure quiet and you don't hear anything and it's just, you know, you just appreciate the quiet and you see these like you know the smaller things in life like little hummingbirds, like, you know, grasshoppers that look like copper from whatchamacallit, anthill like immediate like just correlations that your brain.
fwazsolMakes and it's just amazing. It's like it's just little beautiful things.
fwazsolSo where do you stand on birds being real or not?
motocoasterBirds are real. I don't know about pigeons, man. I don't know about pigeons. Pigeons are kind of sauce.
fwazsolThey are.
motocoasterThat's pigeons are kind of stars, man.
fwazsolHuh.
motocoasterNo, I'm just messing with you guys like that mean birds have to be real like I've but has anyone seen a baby pigeon? Like you know, that's like a real conspiracy. Like it genuinely is like so you know.
fwazsolYeah.
fwazsolWell, pigeons. We do know they evolved from rats.
motocoasterSo I really love this.
motocoasterPicture and we haven't really talked about it, but it is really evocative. I mean, it's just.
motocoasterIt's very real. I mean, it's just very like.
motocoasterI get it.
motocoasterI would collect this.
motocoasterYeah, I mean I it's obviously not an NFT, but by all means, feel free to download it as a screen saver or anything. Guys. Like by all means, you know, for free. I don't mind. I actually posted like a lot. I actually post a lot of like just media I should actually make a form function or something. But like there's actually a Hummingbird on my on my in my backyard.
fwazsolYeah.
motocoasterJust like weird stuff happens in Vegas, there's like scorpions out here, too. It's like crazy things, man. Crazy things. Unrest. Lumpsum vibes. For real.
fwazsolI've definitely had some experiences out there. Well, one thing I'd like to do so this isn't.
motocoasterThe the whole shilling on Fridays the the feature Fridays starts a week from today. What I'd like to talk about is.
motocoasterWhat we do with the loop and?
motocoasterThere are a couple of things I'd like to I'd like to ask. First, I do want to do a giveaway, I'm hoping.
motocoasterUmm.
motocoasterOur price Waterhouse dude Rob joins us to actually do the giveaway. We do those at 4:30. We're getting 10 people in the room and we're going to need 10 retweets. So if you could retweet the space, whatever's twin pinned, if you haven't done that yet.
motocoasterHopefully by 4:30 we'll get 10 people in here and we can do the giveaway.
motocoasterI'd like to talk about yeah.
motocoasterOK.
motocoasterI I'll get, I got an addition to that I'd like to I'd like to do a giveaway you can add that to. I just released some additions.
kidonthephoenixAnd there's a few of them left and I'll go ahead and uh, purchase one from myself and include that for a giveaway. I mean, they're only, they're only .25 editions. I just wanted to sometimes, sometimes I want to make art that like I feel like everybody should be able to afford, like to get some art and not everybody can spend two or three or 10 or 20 soul on on something. So every once in a while I made these little additions that only .25, but it's kind of.
kidonthephoenixIt's a cool piece of art and.
kidonthephoenixYou know if I said if you sell 12 editions of them then it cost comes out to the same as my my one of ones. So it doesn't it doesn't hurt me but it gives lots of people an opportunity to collect my work and so I like it because I'm poor. So I always going to look out for the poor people you know like me and or like some people may have good finances but.
kidonthephoenixThey might just be hesitant to really dive into the one of 1 scene. So spinning .25 like to get your feet wet like that's nothing like and and then you.
kidonthephoenixAnd then the next thing you know, they're launched on this journey of of collecting art and connecting with artists, which can be a really magical journey for sure.
kidonthephoenixWell, I'm going to.
motocoasterI see you put it at the top there, um.
motocoasterI'm looking for the space link. I just started to retweet it. Now I got.
motocoasterComplicated.
motocoasterAnyway. Um.
motocoasterAhead and promote this, let people know that we're giving away this amazing art as well as the hellbender. It will get a couple more people in here and although I was I was talking to flaws about this earlier, so I actually kind of blew your cover flaws. I I told you that we were going to announce your.
motocoasterSo you're joining the team on Monday, but.
motocoasterI already leaked it to the kid and it's being recorded, so some few people are are going to know.
motocoasterBut some people aren't. But next week is when we're really going to start.
motocoasterBuilding this community, we're really going to start mobilizing and I'm going to share on Monday, which is mobile Monday, which is really, you know, the features.
motocoasterI'm actually going to share our launchpad, and the launchpad itself is completely different than any you've seen because you're going to need.
motocoasterA whitelist token.
motocoasterTo mint, but you're not going to mint to hellbender without weightless token, and it's not a weightless token. What it is, is we're going to be minting fake ID's. Like everybody wants a fake ID. And we've had these conversations here, and I've told you all that this group, every morning I wake up and I'm inspired by something that we talked about the week before, the day before.
motocoasterOr two days before and it seeped into my unconscious and I'm like, OK, this is what we got to do, so.
motocoasterGet it on the hellbenders to even be part of it.
motocoasterYou've got to have a fake ID. So literally the whole premise is you're not yourself. You know here you're undercover, so you could be anything in the outside world. You could be an FBI agent for all we care. You've got to have a fake ID to get into hellbenders now.
motocoasterYou cannot get a fake ID.
motocoasterExcept from another hellbender.
motocoasterSo it is going to start in the very beginning. I'm going to mint the kid a fake ID.
motocoasterOK, maybe I'll rent it to a couple people. I'll give Rob a fake idea. I'll give foias a fake idea. You know, the people who've been showing up for a long time get fake ID's after that.
motocoasterEverybody's got to pay for their fake ID. Fake ID's are gonna cost $6.66 fits with the hellbender theme, so.
motocoaster6.66.
motocoasterUsdc to men to fake ID.
motocoasterNow the fake ID is going to have a royalty share, so um.
motocoasterKid like if someone means off the kid, the kid gets I need to pull this up so I know what the royalty share is on the on the fake ID's.
motocoasterI don't know, I'll just tell you in general cause it's something like, yeah, put it here.
motocoasterI don't know. Um.
motocoasterI'm pretty sure.
motocoasterThe person who mints your fake ID gets 20%. The 20% of $6.60 cents isn't very much, but you know you get 20% of it. The person who minted your fake ID gets like.
motocoaster10% the next person gets 7, the next person gets 3, something like that, so four people.
motocoasterTotal where at Mint we're distributing 40% of the mint price and.
motocoaster10 and uh, 60% goes to the Dow. OK again, not much money, but.
motocoasterYou're gonna need a fake ID to mint the actual hellbender, which is going to be $149.
motocoasterAnd the royalty distribution is going to be the same. So the kids going to get the 20% of the $149. So if you've minted and people can mint an unlimited number of fake ID's off of you, except they're only going to be 3333 fake ID's supply to begin with. So once these fake ID's are there, there's going to be a scramble to get these, which is going to be the equivalent of.
motocoasterGetting on to, uh, a white list. But again, you can only get them from someone who has it. So MD, who's been showing up, he's certainly going to get, you know, early fake ID thing. I've been farming. You know, the people who are here from the beginning. We know they've been here from the beginning. And I'm going to share this secret link very early on.
motocoasterYou're gonna actually, what's really cool about this is there's also going to be a photo booth where you create your own PFP out of the hellbender attributes. So you can make yourself, you know you can choose what hat you want. You can choose 3D glasses, you can choose, you know, a male or female avatar, you choose your pronouns. You can be you know, he, she, or they.
motocoasterAnd basically, again, this is your ID and there's a whole.
motocoasterIn the future, we're talking about all this stuff about verification. And so this is when you have your you have your fake ID in your wallet. When you have your phone and someone else has your your phone, and you both hit a button on the app and you're close enough to each other that you verified each others soon.
motocoasterSynonymous identity?
motocoasterSo this is just like.
motocoasterIt's gonna be freaking cool because it actually works like the Hell's Angels work. Like you can't apply to be a Hell's Angel, right? People recruit you for the Hell's angels on 3/3 criteria.
motocoasterCan you fight?
motocoasterCan you?
motocoasterEarn the club money and three, can you keep your mouth shut so we're not looking for all of these.
motocoasterInfluencers out there who are going to be like posting everywhere. What we're going to do is all these people who actually know each other and actually like each other and actually care about each other are going to be.
motocoasterBringing people into hellbenders by sharing their personal link that allows someone to come in and meant their fake ID. So like literally from these conversations, it it broke through a whole bunch of concepts that I've been struggling with. Like how do you get people in before you have the app? How do you you know, how do you build that community? How do you reward people for bringing other people in and they're apps like.
motocoasterDialogue that were announced at.
motocoasterAt break point and you know, you could get this link, but it didn't actually let you do anything and you have to share the link. And if you share the link, you get all of these digital collectibles for sharing the link. But those digital, those stickers aren't going to be worth anything. They're just stickers that you use in the app. It's like.
motocoasterWhy should I do that like we the concept here is.
motocoasterHellbenders can have a bigger.
motocoasterMore developers than Google and more salespeople than Salesforce, because it's all built into the protocol and it's all just natural. It's all something that people want to do.
motocoasterSo that's the concept in terms of how we're going to start filling this, not just filling the community wallet, the Dow, but start putting.
motocoasterMoney in the wallet of the community so that by the time we get to the mint.
motocoasterYou know, there are people who are already gonna have enough money, people who want to be part of this. You know, there are people are showing up for Nigeria, there are people showing up from all over the place where even a $6.66 mint might be a lot.
motocoasterSo that $6.66.
motocoasterMeant.
motocoasterI bring in all my buddies. I I now have my unit, my gang, and we all ate in together. So that's the concept. I'd love to hear, hear responses, thoughts on that.
motocoasterI mean like you mentioned, uh for me, sorry T you can go ahead first.
fwazsolAll right. Thank you. Hi, everybody. How's it going?
tebimagesBlock.
tebimagesAwesome, this is blue Jaguar for those who do not know T.
motocoasterYeah, yeah, yeah, I'm here. I'm coming in a little bit late. I crashed out. I was up all night working on some imagery. But yeah, I mean, everything you're talking about just right now is just beautiful. I think it's.
tebimagesIt's really building a family. There's trickle down for everybody and there's people that are we'll we'll be struggling a little bit and then if they do some extra recruiting they might not have to take 149 out of their pocket at all, which would be really awesome too.
tebimagesExactly. And you know one thing that is really cool about this fake ID photo booth and center like I can see you have on your bio, which is really awesome. The artful Healer which came out of these conversations and you're actually going to put that as your title. There are these fields that says the and then there's a blank and it says amplifier and a blank that says superpower. So everybody is going to have a one word username.
motocoasterAnd the.
motocoasterAn adjective and a noun.
motocoasterAnd it's going to be on everybody's. And then they're going to be able to put their little bio 160 characters on their ID and they're going to put an external link on their ID. And it's just going to be a whole new thing that when you have your profile picture and you use that PFP, it's going to actually be you. And you can also. I love this. You can mint a bunch of them if you want.
motocoasterBut you have to do a different wallet for each, so you can't be holding it. You can't have a previous one when you meant this. So each one's going to have a different wallet.
motocoasterUm, there's a lot we can do on chain. So because we want people to have different identities, but we also want to know who we're talking to. And we want people to represent themselves in the gang the way they want to be. You know, it doesn't have to be there. It's not their web two identity, who they are at work, not necessarily who they are at home and their family. You know, this is like, OK, now I'm in the club, I can relax. All right, fellas, what's up?
motocoasterI was just gonna say I'm gonna hide myself so well. You guys will never recognize me.
fwazsolWell, maybe you'll come out from behind that chicken.
motocoasterYeah. No, the the chicken PFP's are gonna stay. Maybe. Yeah. We'll see we'll see. I don't know. It's it's it's it was my first mint and you know, it was my first ever job as a web three thing. So gotta stay loyal to the tribe. Still still working with them you know just yeah.
fwazsolLook, you know I'm part of the tribe. I mean, you. Actually, you were the one who recruited me for Chicken tribe and in Miami.
motocoasterYeah, that was uh, yeah, I remember. Yeah, Miami was a.
fwazsolI I did a lot of recruitment for Solana in what is it Seattle and then I did recruitment for Chicken Tribe and essentially like was it Miami and.
fwazsolSalt Lake City also.
fwazsolWhen I was at Mountaindale.
fwazsolI almost went to Mountaindale, can't remember why I didn't.
motocoasterIt's a good place. It's like honestly it's it's it's a really good place. I mean if anyone want like I mean creators like I know where you know struggling right now I mean even myself you know but it like it's it's it's a creative space it really is.
fwazsolYeah, I'm sure. It'll be interesting to see next year we had even more people at at break point.
motocoasterThan was the year before break point. Even though there was a bear market. I'm really interested to see what happens here. There was someone who hopped on stage yesterday.
motocoasterIt was the day before. I don't know, I'm pretty. Maybe it was. I've been knows I've been farming, said this and I'm glad you're you're up on stage now because you got something really critical.
motocoasterAbout this protocol, which we call the Scobee Protocol.
motocoasterWhich is that?
motocoasterIt's not.
motocoasterIt changes things in that what you get out of a community financially is not all based on floor price and it's not based on flipping. It's literally going to be what you put into it. Part of that is recruiting, but part of that is creating because in the protocol there's also this.
motocoasterMoney gets shared to the curators, so if kid brings in this incredible group of.
motocoasterCreators and artists, and they decide to use the protocol, and it makes sense to use the protocol because then everyone behind who's in hellbenders is going to, you know, going to really push your art. Then kid gets rewarded for bringing them in because they've enriched the entire ecosystem. You know, they're like, we've got these amazing creators. So there's just what's been most frustrating for me is.
motocoasterYeah.
fwazsolI've seen this clearly in flaws, probably remembers. In Seattle I was like, you know, in February you're going to be able to do all this amazing shit. And now we're almost at the next, the next February, and thanks to Apple, we still can't do all this amazing shit. But, but really, and just in just a couple weeks, we will.
motocoasterYeah, no I I can't wait actually. I mean, I've been learning blender myself too. I wanna make like. So my goal as a dev quote UN quote is to be is to hold a chicken tribe NFT. So we have a 3D render. I just want to make it like AR like I want to hold it in my hand like a Pokémon.
fwazsolSo one day, one day.
fwazsolAbsolutely. Well, no, seriously, that's what we're going to build into the app, so. And we want people to bring their other NFTS into the app and have all these tools there where I can apply machine learning, I can 3D it, I can animate it, you know.
motocoasterI can mint it.
motocoasterHmm.
fwazsolAnd we're building on each other stuff, you know, I I wanna do something that looks like the kid painted it. I can do that. I can do something like Nat, who illustrated this, illustrated it, and that's, you know, like, so if you look at my eagle.
motocoasterThat's an eagle that in my.
motocoasterPFP that not actually drew, but the creativity is going to go insane.
motocoasterWhen it's assisted by machine learning where when you even on your posts you're going to have two choices. You're going to say OK post direct or use prompt. And basically if you use the prompt you're going to be able to type something in and GPT 3 or 4 or whatever we're up to by then you know can rework your your post and do it and the voice of Wallace Stevens or James Joyce or you know whoever they want so.
motocoasterI mean, crazy shit's gonna happen in the Co creative realm once Solana marries augmented reality and marries.
motocoasterI'm with you.
fwazsolMachine learning, I mean, it's just. It's all over.
motocoasterWhich is happening like in the next like couple weeks, pretty much. So, you know.
fwazsolExactly, exactly. And we're going to be on the cutting edge of the tech and the cutting edge of the culture.
motocoasterYeah, I'm super hype. I'm honestly like, I mean I I've used Dolly a couple of times in just a couple of AI tools and you know, I've used chat, GBT, chat GPT just to make my coding easier. Sorry for any proper devs out there, but you know, but yeah, no, it's AI is is here, it's here. Now I can't wait until I can see my NFT on my phone and like no one else can see it, you know, like just through my phone.
fwazsolHello.
fwazsolI don't know. I don't understand that. Why don't you want other people to see it?
motocoasterNo.
motocoasterGot it.
motocoasterWell, I'll show them through the phone just to flex it, right? Like it's like a it's like, hey, look at my buskey up piece or my kid piece, right. Like, you know what I mean? Like, it's going to be like, hey, like look at this piece. Like I have it and they're they're like, where is it? And I'm like put on these like glasses or put on these like look through my phone or you know, like put on these contact lenses or in the future maybe connect to my neuralink system or something. I don't know, li
fwazsolNo, exactly, though. But I mean, you just thought Disney released some sort of augmented reality.
motocoasterThing on the Disney Channel where you hold up your iPad and you're looking at your screen through your iPad.
motocoasterAnd I don't know if it's publicly released, I've just seen like screen caps and and videos of it.
motocoasterBut their waterfalls and, you know, a jungle grows up in your living room like it's crazy, you know? And.
motocoasterYeah, and that's the future. And people are like and and that's and that's what's gonna end up happening. Like, you know, right now we're running VR with, you know, initially like the HTC Vive. I remember owning it and it had to have like, you know, three different things in your corner of your screen or in the corner of your room to like track your.
fwazsolYou know location.
fwazsolNow you're sitting on your screen, like now you can sit down and actually, you know, with the meta quest too, I believe you can just sit down and do whatever and it will track your location and it'll like, you know, save you from hitting anything else too. So.
fwazsolUmm.
fwazsolAll like all these technologies are evolving and it's just, I mean blockchain tech is perfect for him and you know, blockchain tech is speeding up too. So I mean the fact that you just told me the AR is gonna be ready next week.
fwazsolI was like, wait.
fwazsolIs that really that soon? And then I realize like, yes, it is, because that's when Saga gets officially released, right?
fwazsolDevs get.
motocoasterUh, gotcha.
fwazsolDebs get it this month. But I don't think the general public gets the saga until March. And yeah, and Google has a great AR core, you know? I mean, it's it's.
motocoasterWe're going to be able to build all kinds of stuff, all kinds of AR stuff on on the saga phone. It's going to be super simple, the one thing I wish that it had.
motocoasterOhh yeah.
fwazsolWhich is right now only on iPhones is the LIDAR. Like having LIDAR allows you to scan a room or seen really quickly and build those 3D models and that's going to get, you know.
motocoasterYeah, no, I there's a great app if you have an iPhone. It's called Poly Cam 3D and it's free, free to use and everything. Don't sign up or anything like that, so.
fwazsolAnd you can just like do 3D models like house renders. I use it for rendering of my car and stuff like that. But I'm gonna shut up now. I'm gonna let I've been. I've been.
fwazsolBarman.
fwazsolTalk.
fwazsolWhat's going on my dude?
fwazsolI've been farming. Yeah. I really want to hear from him too.
motocoasterNot that I only hear from you, fuas. You're always welcome to speak, but yeah.
motocoasterNo, no, of course. I just. I know I talked too much.
fwazsolGive me a couple more seconds, fella.
ipharminAll right, I've been farmans at work, so he needs a moment.
motocoasterYou should hopefully when you come up, you tell us what you actually do.
motocoasterHe's just farming earth, dude.
fwazsolI don't know. Uh, I see. Ask is up here. What's going on? Ask the doctor.
fwazsolHey everybody. Finally got to a spot. Hope my reception is good. Can you guys hear me?
ipharminOK.
ipharminAlright.
ipharminYeah, loud and clear. So where are you describe your surroundings? I'm curious, like with the noise that sounds like a warehouse.
motocoasterExactly. It is. I'm a forklift driver for an agricultural and cold storage company.
ipharminHere in Stockton, CA, in the heart of the Central Valley, just South of Sacramento and east of the Bay Area. So.
ipharminRight in the middle of agricultural land like forklift. And so yeah most of the time when you guys and and you know on the West Coast for the time difference as well. So most of the time you guys do this. I am at work and it's kind of hard for me sometimes not necessarily to stop because they're insulated very well. So should isn't always the best.
ipharminYeah.
motocoasterYou got a little bit rugged there, buddy.
fwazsolYeah, you should get one of those, um.
motocoasterYou know repeater amplifiers somewhere. You know signal booster.
motocoasterBecause we'd love to have you here more often.
motocoasterI get one of those.
robertwhetselWe're on our phones, right?
robertwhetselThe.
fwazsolYeah, we'll definitely get him with Solano, phone I I'm skeptical about the coverage.
motocoasterThis.
motocoasterI'm susceptible. I'm skeptical on like uh how Twitter spaces will do on honestly. Like, I mean I know it's like on an Android stack and all that stuff, but I mean.
fwazsolI don't know. It's I I mean, until the devs get that, I mean, you're you're going to be the first to find out, I guess you're literally. Yeah, you're going to be the first to find out. Let me know.
fwazsolWell, the good thing is, I mean, once the Solano phones out there, I think people are getting moving off of Twitter spaces because they're going to have.
motocoasterScobie app, they're gonna have hellbenders. You know, it's you're going to be on with your other Solana peeps, and we're just going to come on, uh, Twitter space occasionally to let the outside world know what's what's happening and then go back to our own world.
motocoasterExactly. Assuming everyone can afford the sauna phone by March, right? I'm just kidding.
fwazsolBut uh no.
fwazsolWell, that's a big part of the topic today though. Seriously, is what we do with the money and.
motocoasterOur goal we're we're gonna mint on.
motocoasterFebruary 3rd, 2323.
motocoasterI said, you know.
motocoasterI'd like to have that mint price at 100 and 4999. That's a base that's about what Clay source did, which with at 10 solve when it was.
motocoaster14 bucks a assault. You know it's kind of if you look at.
motocoasterMost of the big 10K ments, Umm, that's where it came out. Now in terms of how big the collection is, what the supply is, we launch, that's the other cool thing. We can do it all based on how many people meant their fake ID's.
motocoasterSo if you know if we have 20,000 fake ID's and even the fake ID's are going to be limited supply at first, so we're just going to do 3333.
motocoasterStop.
motocoasterYou know, and then at that point we're actually going to be able to have a down where where people can vote and we're all going to be able to because we're all going to have fake ID's, which means we're going to be able to drop down tokens and.
motocoasterAnd vote with our wallets and we're all going to as a community say, OK, well.
motocoasterHow many do we really think?
motocoasterWe're going to be able to print out, you know, and and we're just going to start working as a group and we're going to say, well, you know, if we go hard at this, we can do a 10,000 or really hard we could do a 12,000, but it'll really be up to this group and really.
motocoasterMan.
motocoasterFolks, 8 weeks, no, four we have about.
motocoasterYeah, we have a little over a month and 1/2. We have about 7 weeks, 8 weeks and that's really plenty of time.
motocoasterTo do a massive.
motocoasterLaunch. So once we have that money in we we're we're in an incubator and accelerator called the 501 foundry.
motocoasterAnd we're going to have a.
motocoasterUh.
motocoasterWe're going to have a.
motocoasterWhat do you call it? A nonprofit?
motocoasterThat is going to give grants and we're going to put and the Dow that's collective is going to vote on how much to put into the nonprofit to distribute.
motocoasterSaga phones to creators around the world and to do other things, support them in other ways. But, you know, give out grants, do all kinds of stuff. But that's our goal. So I really want, I mean.
motocoasterSomeone's got to pay for the party and the more money we raise in that.
motocoaster2323 mint.
motocoasterThe better we do. So, you know, next week is when we really want to start building this out. I don't know how long it's going to take to build the the fake ID.
motocoasterUh, minting?
motocoasterPlace um, but.
motocoasterYou know we're going to.
motocoasterDo something. Um, we're gonna do something really cool. That's gonna that's gonna get people in.
motocoasterSwaz.
motocoasterThat was a nice little deep breath you took right, right there. I love that.
fwazsolI was going to say like anyone else, wanna come up speak?
fwazsol3.
fwazsolYeah, please.
motocoasterOr Rob, can you tell us, I know you're at work, so you weren't able to hop on the stage early.
motocoasterI just.
fwazsolI'm. I'm. I'm back. Actually, I'm. I'm just finished up some stuff. It was, you know, it's hard to be on two meetings at the same time. I try some days, but today I just didn't have it in me.
robertwhetselWell, today we're talking about money and you're a big investor in Scobie.
motocoasterAnd you've been investing in me as a person for for quite a while. I'd really like your thoughts on, on the economics and the importance of of this launch. And you have your own game that you want to have up on, you know on on Salana and and want this whole community to boost your game will be distributors for you. But just tell us a little bit about.
motocoasterYour journey as an investor, what you look at, what you look for and and how important the economics is in this whole equation.
motocoasterAll right.
robertwhetselI'll try not to get too, too boring because you know my my background. I'm I'm a freaking scientist, so when it comes to numbers and math, maths, that's my thing.
robertwhetselSo as I got closer to retirement when you and I met, I was think I was like 4 years out.
robertwhetselAnd and I started planning on what I was gonna do for my retirement. And we had that conversation and I was like, hmm. So I went back and started looking at it. So.
robertwhetselI had up to this point.
robertwhetselInvested.
robertwhetselOn my own quite a bit into different stocks and and commodities and you know just the traditional you know wealth building strategies right. Except I I had a little twist because as a computer scientist, a computer engineer I I kind of had an insight on how a lot of these things were made.
robertwhetselI started looking at supply chain and then started looking at OK, what are critical, critical components of the supply chain.
robertwhetselAll right, I'm going to go invest in that. And and to be honest, Dave, I did so not as a conscientious and investor. I just did it as a greedy capitalist because.
robertwhetselYou know, we're going to have to do this anyway, so why not me?
robertwhetselAnd so the the if the companies itself were not as good to the people as that work for them. If they were kind of shady in some of their practice, as long as they were and it was a method criteria, I didn't care about their behavior.
robertwhetselAnd and I'm not proud of that, but and.
robertwhetselBut now I've, I've, I've, I've kind of changed that parameter.
robertwhetselBut, you know, through those investments.
robertwhetselI learned a whole lot about.
robertwhetselSupply chain.
robertwhetselThe the the critical supply chain where you have single points of failure, two points of failure. Monopolies within corporations that that that not only protect their interests but prevent other.
robertwhetselCompanies or other individuals to get an opportunity.
robertwhetselAnd and.
robertwhetselAt some point through our conversations, I started changing on how I wanted to invest.
robertwhetselRight.
robertwhetselSo.
robertwhetselI started this well, you know, the crypto thing. I was doing crypto thing before we met, but not heavily. It was just stacking, right? Because I'm, I'm, I think of the future. I'm a futurist.
robertwhetselI believe that our best years are not here yet.
robertwhetselYou know, some people holler for the glory of good old glory days like Bruce Springstead, Springstead said. But Springsteen said. But I think we've yet to get to where we will become as a inhumanity. So we're either going to become much better or we're just going to go back to, you know, living in caves. I'm not sure which one it is at this point.
robertwhetselBut.
robertwhetselNow I started changing, you know who I would invest in, not just because of that supply chain and their critical position on the supply chain, but how they.
robertwhetselYou know, treated the world around them.
robertwhetselAnd I ended up liquidating so many companies that I had invested in over the past 30 years.
robertwhetselAnd then I started reinvesting. So that's that's actually how Scobee got it's you know.
robertwhetselIt's it's it's money is because I I did that. And what made me change?
robertwhetselDave was you and that's why I I actually started changing how I approached investing.
robertwhetselSo that was through our conversations, I became a different type of investor, um and and and and.
robertwhetselSo now Fast forward to now to where we're at today talking about this building in public, which is kind of exciting.
robertwhetselIs.
robertwhetselWe have all kinds of people in this space.
robertwhetselAnd different levels of of knowledge, different levels of education, different levels of, just like we are in life. Different levels.
robertwhetselAnd and some of the folks here have really good intentions and may want to do something.
robertwhetselAnd but they don't know what it is yet. But they're, they're going to do it, but it's not stopping them from starting their journey, which I I think is absolutely fine. But then you have some of these companies out there who have started their journey on the backs of their community and then and then they run away.
robertwhetselAnd some of that is done via.
robertwhetselLet's just face it.
robertwhetselNo offense here if you're 25 years old, or however old that that kid is, SBF or whatever his name is.
robertwhetselAnd you're running a billion dollar company. You're not. I. If I was in my 30s, I was not mature enough to run a billion dollar company. It's not something that you you get it. It takes wisdom.
robertwhetselAnd wisdom comes from suffering.
robertwhetselAnd if you haven't suffered, you haven't. Generated wisdom doesn't doesn't mean you're not smart, but it it it, you know, wisdom comes from time and suffering.
robertwhetselAnd there's a lack of wisdom in this space.
robertwhetselAnd, and I get it because you know the the ideas that are are new ideas coming from from you know smart people and you know kids who want to have a better future. And by the way you know when I say kids it's not a, a, an insult because you know my son is what.
robertwhetsel3940 I'll shoot. I'm a terrible dad. I don't even know his age.
robertwhetselBut but you know it's we're a different generation and and and The thing is I've learned things from every generation and and there's not not you know again it's more about the individual and what they bring of themselves to.
robertwhetselThis you know to this space.
robertwhetselSo what I've done Dave and and and more importantly is I started putting together evaluation criteria.
robertwhetselFor all these different projects.
robertwhetselAnd and so the first thing that I do is I, I, you know, be in a technologist, I look at what they're trying to do.
robertwhetselFrom their their, you know, the White Paper, which most of them don't have enough information to tell us what they're doing. It's more of a aspirations.
robertwhetselAnd so it's. And if it's something that I, I, I go through that first step. So I look for is it real?
robertwhetselCan you win? Is it worth it?
robertwhetselIs it real?
robertwhetselThere's a technology do what they say it can do.
robertwhetselThere's quite a few of the project out there that stops me from aping in right away.
robertwhetselNow, it doesn't mean they have to have the technology in place, it means that that it has to be posted within the art of possible.
robertwhetselSo again, is it real?
robertwhetselWell, can you win?
robertwhetselIs it solving a real problem?
robertwhetselAre you just, you know, building the clubhouse like the humans warming hater Club back at me little rascals days if you guys don't know what that is, is Google Little Rascals look up he man Woman Haters Club and then your then your then you got that reference because you motherfuckers say shit all the time. I have. I have to Google because I had no idea what you're talking about.
robertwhetselKids been been you know, the Baroness has been translating for me because.
robertwhetselYou know, cringe worthy. I learned what that was three days ago. I was like, what the what do you guys talk anyway, so.
robertwhetselYou know.
robertwhetselIs it worth it? Is it solving a real problem? Is it bringing value to the community? Are you just doing stuff because you think it's cool?
robertwhetselYou know you can't build a business around doing stuff because you think it's cool, because it's your passion, it's your love.
robertwhetselBut if it's not solving a real world problem for the rest of your possible customer base, your community.
robertwhetselThen it's not really anything other than just a hobby for you. So you've got to find that and if you're you're artist you got to find out how your art can touch other people and and and I actually kid, I can't I couldn't tell you how to do this because I'm I'm not an artist. I you know I'm a zeros and ones guy so I'm this is no advice to anybody. It's just from a perspective of if I'm going to eat in it means I want to put my money into a project that I know is going to be successful.
robertwhetselTo generate revenue for the rest of the community. And if I can't see that it could do that, then I I can't honestly ape in.
robertwhetselI I.
kidonthephoenixAnd then the last one.
robertwhetselGo ahead.
robertwhetselI just want to interject there and say that I get what you're saying 100% and I agree with you, but I do think there also is always going to be the element of.
kidonthephoenixReally what it comes down to is.
kidonthephoenixYou make Someone Like You like, do these projects do? Do people like the people who run these projects?
kidonthephoenixDo people?
kidonthephoenixAre we not there? We're not there yet. We're not there yet.
robertwhetselBecause I use this first three criteria to to eliminate.
robertwhetselYeah.
kidonthephoenixThat's so and so hold that thought. We'll have that very shortly. So then there can you win?
robertwhetselAs in, if I build this, I know it's solving a problem and and and it's and it's. It's it technically possible, but can it win? So if it costs me a half $1,000,000 to solve a $10 problem, I can't win.
robertwhetselThat's the initial criteria I look at. Is it real?
robertwhetselIs it worth it? Can it win?
robertwhetselIf they if a project meets those three, then I move it to the side. Then I start the second phase. I look at the the the Community leaders. I looked at the project leaders. I look at the founders. I look at the builders.
robertwhetselThere's a couple of things in there I'm looking for. One is like ability. Go ahead, kid, it's on you now.
robertwhetselWell, it's just the thing. It's like.
kidonthephoenixAlmost OK for me in my journey in this space. I guarantee you more people have bought my art because they heard me in spaces and they vibed with me or they wanted to support me as a person. Then they actually fucked with my art. Like if I'm being real about it, I think my art's gotten a lot better as I've journeyed and I think people now are starting to really buy my art because they just really liked it. I I'm starting to feel that more, but definitely early on, like people were just.
kidonthephoenixThey fucked with me, so they bought my arm.
kidonthephoenixAnd I learned that when you're buying our.
kidonthephoenixYou're buying the artist.
kidonthephoenixAs much as you are the art and.
kidonthephoenixSo it translates to a project the same like when people buy it to gods, they are in a sense buying Frank, you know, or the community as a whole. Or if you buy an S&B you are buying, you know, into a piece of Nam and all the other members of Monkey Dow or the community as a whole. If you get a chicken tribe, you you must fuck with flaws to some degree.
kidonthephoenixYeah, not disagree with any of that, but for for a sustainable business to continue.
robertwhetselYou've you've got to be able to meet those criteria. These these are standard criteria that has existed for for. And that's one of the things missing in Web three is business acumen. If you don't have business Accum you, you're not building something that's sustainable. Art kind of breaks those rules. It always has. It breaks the rules. And in real life I have a piece I just put on Facebook to sell. I have an original 1987.
robertwhetselUh, Gere boat sculpture which if you go to a different places that have, you know have this work you know the the cheapest one I found was like $2500 and this is this is one of the his his works from the 1987 signed by him. And the reason I'm getting rid of is I'm moving so I'm trying to get rid of all the things that I'm you know I look at it, I like it. It's been on my wall for you know, 25.
robertwhetselYears.
robertwhetselBut it's time for someone else to have that piece. And, you know, I'm, I put it on Facebook for 395, which is a fraction of what it's, you know, what what what it appraises for. Not because I'm trying to make money off of it. I'm trying to share it to somebody else. So art.
robertwhetselAnd and there are certain categories that don't fall into this, but I'm talking about for somebody who's going to bring big money into a project for sustainability.
robertwhetselYeah.
kidonthephoenixAnd I'm I'm a VC.
robertwhetselI really like what you said, right?
kidonthephoenixThat's how I yeah, that's how we're looking. So we're, we, we're we're looking at from two different purposes.
robertwhetselYeah.
kidonthephoenixRight. Yeah, definitely. I can see the, the community versus the Community being the product versus the the product being the.
fwazsolOutcome if that makes sense for VC's. So there's this be different angles here.
fwazsolBut that's.
kidonthephoenixThis.
kidonthephoenixYeah, just stay.
kidonthephoenixYes, yes, yes. But I still look at the community. I actually still look at the community because the Community has to be important, you know, that's yeah, it's good.
robertwhetselWe we don't we haven't even decided what it is we want to be the product like the utility the whatever to. So I think that's what we really have to hammer in and get a solid vision on that like what are we going to build like what are we going to what what are we going to offer, why should somebody get a help under other than. I mean I get the whole concept of we want to do the you know the social side of it and and what we're trying to do there but if we're making an app like.
kidonthephoenixI think we should really hammer in on what's this app, what's its main purpose and what is it going to do and what are we building. But I got that quote was perfect.
kidonthephoenixYep, that's what that's what Monday's for.
motocoasterYeah.
robertwhetselAnd that.
motocoasterThat was perfect, doctor. Art breaks the rules, man. I do. That was beautiful.
kidonthephoenixAnd kid, I mean you're you're spot on in terms of, you know, what's the app going to do and how and why.
motocoasterWhat's really interesting is even there getting people to care.
motocoasterOr even understand it's just it's one of these really weird things. It goes back to this idea of utility, and I've and I've coached some.
motocoasterUp and coming projects on this where.
motocoasterI don't think people actually buy utility, and even the word utility is such a horrible word. You know, there's in sales. It really all comes down to desire and what.
motocoasterHow much that desire is built? And the desire is usually not like you said, it's, you know.
motocoasterThey like you, they get you. They're they're somehow wanted, you know, you're an incredibly charismatic guy. They want to be connected to you. They want to be part of your community. But it's actually something deeper than that at the end of the day, like if you.
motocoasterWhen I was in sales, there was this exercise was kind of like the five wise where it's like, OK, well they said this, what's the why, what's the why behind that? OK, you need money. Well, why do you need money? Well, you know, it turns out that you know for me.
motocoasterThere's something that's always at the deepest level. So I talked about this before when I went through a bankruptcy, just when.
motocoasterMy daughter got into Yale and which is my alma mater and like.
motocoasterThe worst thing that could have happened to me in my life is not being able to send my kids to college. I mean, I'm, you know, grew up in.
motocoasterA Jewish East Coast, you know, family where you know, my dad was a doctor, my son, the doctor, whole thing, you know, it's just like.
motocoasterIt's really important and when you dig into those things.
motocoasterEvery single one. They're basically 4 main.
motocoasterCategories of things people buy health, wealth, wisdom, and love. It always goes into one of those four things. And I see art.
motocoasterUsually as part of the wisdom. Sometimes it's part of the love, but there's something that unlocks you. Like Fwas mentioned Basquiat before, I mean from an early age.
motocoasterArt. I had these two sides. I had the philosophy side and the art side and like.
motocoasterGetting it, you know, just like walking through museums and vibing on it. And when I first discovered acid in high school, I mean, you know, living in DC, we had all these free museums. I mean, going to the Hirshhorn.
motocoasterLooking at this stuff and getting it and saying Oh my God, this other person is seeing the same thing.
motocoasterYeah, it's.
fwazsolIt's it's a connection that comes that again is part of that wisdom, part of that growth, part of that education, but I really think, yeah, go ahead fellas.
motocoasterI I just wanted to say like I I saw T dot wanted to speak um uh he mentioned like he was like thumbs up being some points. So like I don't know if you want to speak on that dude.
fwazsolOhh, he's he's a listener now.
fwazsolOh, OK, choosing speaker.
fwazsolWell, he, he dropped into the listener part, so he's got to get back on stage. Yeah. Yeah. And just the one that I'd like you to you to address because we were talking about this earlier today.
motocoasterThe criteria that like there are these two different sides, OK, you ape into stuff.
motocoasterBecause of desire.
motocoasterOr you've gone through this rational process.
motocoasterThe thing that bugs me most about NFT's and Solana and this whole ecosystem is the fake stuff that plays on both where like staking. I mean staking is just Ponzi nomics in the context of a collection. You're basically saying all these people bought stuff. We're going to distribute part of what people bought, distribute part of this, but it's always less than. It's nothing generative or expansive.
motocoasterWas a real business is art, doesn't have to be, but real art collectors are actually looking at the generativity of the artist. So I'm going to buy Julian Schnabel because either I think he's going to die really quickly and I have one, you know, so the supply is all of a sudden gone or he's going to keep delivering and performing at this level. That's going to show me that having a Jeff Koons or Julian Schnabel or a.
motocoasterBasquiat Otter.
motocoasterLouise.
motocoasterBourgeois is gonna is gonna really.
motocoasterMean something? That's for most.
motocoasterI mean really like you just kind of like gave me the web three equivalent isn't um, if if I if I remember correctly. Isn't Djam poet like kind of gone right now?
fwazsolHe he's back.
motocoasterYeah.
motocoasterThe back.
kidonthephoenixOhh he's back where his did his NFP spike did when he left.
fwazsolPeople always come back, my friend.
kidonthephoenixThat's just part of the the the Djinn poet roller coaster there and we just, we just go along for the ride.
kidonthephoenixBut, but it is part of that. I mean he's he's exactly who we're talking about where there's a communities built he he comments on stuff he does an amazing job like inserting himself into conversations and when he got completely funded by somebody I don't even remember you know about.
motocoasterHis appropriation of of a work like that's actually partly what makes art valuable in this whole ecosystem is the fact that people care so much there's an urgency so that there's this one other tangent I just want to take us on because it's really important. I grew up in the DC music scene and the the social currency of being in a band like Fugazi or Shudder to Think or.
motocoasterUm, fire party. Or, you know, it's what's happening here, and people outside the scene don't recognize it. You know, no one from Seattle's going to know about these bands.
motocoasterBut it was. That's what Salana is right now is like this small.
motocoasterIndie scene and we had our David Geffen, an SBF was here just throwing money at everybody.
motocoasterBut now we're back in reality, and it's going to be really interesting when this actually does breakthrough into the mainstream, who is going to be the Nirvana that knocks the Michael Jackson off the charts? And all the sudden, you know, it's it's a real ecosystem.
motocoasterLooks like a great example analogy. I suppose that is literally like like one of the greatest artistic examples like I can ever think of.
fwazsolYeah. No, that's that's kind of what's happening. That's what we were talking about earlier too, I mean.
fwazsolYou know, there's not that many projects being released right now.
fwazsolUmm.
fwazsolWe're going through kind of like a, you know a slow crypto winner, whatever this weird market is right now and people are building and.
fwazsolWe're just kind of like, you know, I don't want to say we're living day by day, but it's just like.
fwazsolWe're we're surviving right and through.
fwazsolSurvival. I feel like someone said this like through survival comes like, you know, growth. I heard this, someone said that in this was this space or was it space earlier? I can't remember.
fwazsolYeah, I think Rob was talking about survival, I think I know.
motocoasterYeah.
fwazsolSo.
fwazsolBut yeah, it was today.
motocoasterYeah, dude. Like I'm just a yeah, it's it's it's just one of those days I I'm pretty coffee still. So yeah.
fwazsolPardon me?
fwazsolBut, you know, it's interesting. I mean, I think, I think I got it of what we're we were trying to do. We want hellbenders to be the Nirvana, the breakthrough 1, hellbenders to be the N.W.A, like the thing that made gangsta rap. I mean, I remember walking down, you know?
motocoasterThe white kid. I was living in New York at the time, 1988 and 89, walking down the street with N.W.A, playing in my Sony Walkman or whatever I had at the time.
motocoasterYou know, and it was like.
motocoasterYou saw the city differently.
motocoasterRight.
motocoasterAnd in your parachute pants and.
robertwhetselContact.
robertwhetselExactly. That wasn't that bad. Come on.
motocoasterBut yeah, no that we've got you know, and there are others that are, you know, quote the breakthroughs like they're planning, you know, there's board apes and this and that. But they were, they were first generation, they weren't.
motocoasterThat new thing they were, you know, they were basically Elvis. They weren't like.
motocoasterThis, you know, so there is a this, it's there and flaws. It's one of the reasons we brought you on board.
motocoasterIt's because I, you know, you can really help us find that way to articulate it.
motocoasterFor the masses.
motocoasterYeah, definitely understand what's happening here like I am.
fwazsolI mean, we, we we just for full transparency. Uh, Dave and I just got a phone call.
fwazsolNot too long ago, before the space, actually, like 5 minutes before the space ended, we got off the phone call.
fwazsolAnd.
fwazsolYeah, just, I mean, kind of just like, he gave me the rundown of the, you know, how the project's going to go and like, what's what, what's happening? It's not even a project. I would call it a collective, almost like it's just like a.
fwazsolLike, I don't know. There's, there's there's not, there's not a word for it's like a protocol and like I don't know it's it's, it's hellbenders.
fwazsolThis is about us.
fwazsolWell, what I didn't tell you is that we actually, it's all based on uh, so we have a California, Colorado cooperative. So it actually technically is a cooperative. Everybody who's holding a hellbender is going to be a member of this cooperative and we can actually do profit sharing out through the cooperative. Yeah.
motocoasterYeah.
motocoasterYou didn't tell me that part and didn't hear that part. That's that's actually pretty sweet.
fwazsolThat gets around all the, you know, these these people playing, paying out these revenue sharings via their coins and whatever they're doing that's illegal. That will come down eventually by some of these, you know, these these projects out there. And that goes back to business acting and not understanding the business part of, you know, I'm Web 3, so I don't have to do any of that stuff.
robertwhetselWell, that's the Manhattan Honeybears Psychonaut, and that's his, his thing. He's been in him.
robertwhetselSince the beginning of him being allowed here in the US and so he has dealt with the regulatory people all these years. And so he understands that that battle, that struggle and that's why, you know, the mad honey bears was one I ate didn't know because you know they that their business acumen is there.
robertwhetselThe the yeah. So those are things that Dave has spent years working on.
robertwhetselYeah, right.
robertwhetselWell, one thing I just want to say is because it's 20 after we got 10 more minutes before our drawing and we're down to 24689 in this space, we need 10 to draw.
motocoasterAnd we have a drawing for this beautiful edition.
motocoasterAnd for hellbender?
motocoasterSo can we get everybody to retweet, send messages to people and just say?
motocoasterOK, great. Perfect. Casey just joins. We're back to 10246810.
motocoasterPlease uh.
motocoasterRetweet this. Send direct messages to people. Let's get enough people in here where we have 10 tweets and 10 people in the room.
motocoasterLet us know are you looking at your your app there?
motocoasterYeah. So, so here, Dave Order order business, I think in the future as we we're having these conversations we need as a as a collective is to get other people in the room. Because it's not just about winning the hell Bender, dude. It's about understanding what we're doing and being part of it because we're getting user stories, you know, you know what we're talking about.
robertwhetselYeah, I I completely agree with that.
fwazsolYeah, we're building user storage. Like the other day when we talked about the app. I think it was the kid who wanted the beeper, right?
robertwhetselYes, notice.
kidonthephoenixRight. Did you want to beeper to to to do your DJ flip it?
robertwhetselYeah, some notice from a DJ and flips, you know, so I don't got to sit there. I don't have to stop. I could just sit there and hang with my lady without having to go on magic eating to see if the floor price went down. And I just know if I if, if, if it goes to.
kidonthephoenixYou know a buy point that's that looks good for me. I can set it and it'll just tell me it'll send me a notification and say hey you know the floor price on that thug bird just went down to 20 soul and you know it's that simple. And then I could just, we could go even a step further and you know just have like a a way to connect directly to a marketplace and just one boom, boom, boom done deal.
kidonthephoenixDude, dude, did you not see what I did on on the hellbenders board? Your user stories are already there. It's ready. It's it's in the IT could be in the hopper to be built. So after you had that conversation, I was up to 2:00 o'clock that morning.
robertwhetselFinished the user stories. Had to wait to the next day cause somehow I lost my my rights to write to the board. Dave gave me back the rights you use. The story is there, I've already built it, so now it could be turned into code.
robertwhetselBeautiful. Yeah, I I, I appreciate that there are intelligent people like yourself, doc, that are working on this because I can come up with ideas, but in terms of actually making them or yeah, I get I get lost in the sauce. But yeah, I'm going to check it out for sure.
kidonthephoenixAlright, I'm sorry.
tebimagesOK, so kid, we got just a couple people joined. So I want to let make sure Karine Casey knows a little bit about this, but we're getting towards that point. We're going to do a drawing. So you definitely want to be here in 7 minutes, 4:30 when we do the drawing, to be part of it, you've got to retweet the space. There's a a link at the top on the Jumbotron we are building in public. So we got a grant.
motocoaster$36,000 from the Solano Foundation for a mobile app that's both SAGA native, also going to be available on Android and iOS, and those app stores.
motocoasterWe are.
motocoasterThere's a collection and you're going to need to be holding a hellbender to use the app.
motocoasterSo it's a completely token gated from the ground up. All kinds of cool economics in the app. It's all founded, supported by a Colorado cooperative. So if you're a holder, you're actually a member of the cooperative. So when you vote in the Dow, you're you're.
motocoasterMaking actual legal.
motocoasterDecisions on how to apply these funds. So this, a lot of this is stuff we've been working on for a really long time. We're about to go to market and we're going to market.
motocoasterThe third day of February 2323.
motocoasterAnd today we're giving away a hellbender. We're getting giving away a beautiful piece of art by the kid.
motocoasterSo.
motocoasterYeah, go.
motocoasterSpeaking of help, I'm sorry to interrupt. I apologize. Um, I'm gonna try to change up the vibe here a little bit. Corinne, my fiance just came into space and we're going to try to dethrone the kid because he is on a roll, man. He won two in a row and we're going to win today.
tebimagesYeah, take me to Vegas.
kidonthephoenixYou was more than that. Kit won like four in a row.
motocoasterYeah.
motocoasterOhh my gosh.
tebimagesYeah, not the kid. It was kit the Baroness.
robertwhetselIt was Kit Baroness. Yeah, we're calling her the Baroness so people don't get confused between kit and the kid. But Baroness won four times in a row.
motocoasterAnd that's why she's not Co hosting today.
motocoasterSo Baroness and the kids, so they're they've been dominating us.
tebimagesYeah, well, the kid has has recused himself because he's a cohost and kids never going to co-host again because two of those she didn't get to keep.
motocoasterSo when we get to the the bottom of the hour.
motocoasterIt looks like we have a very scary presence here. I think Caroline has joined us.
motocoasterSuper.
fwazsolAnd I hope that's not actually you, but but this is a terrifying sight to see here.
motocoasterI saw the PFP.
fwazsolWork down there.
kitbaronessYeah, I saw the PFP. I got a little bit spooked. I had to scroll up.
fwazsolThat's scary. But but now that you're here, just but John Wick.
motocoasterWe're about to do a drawing, so you definitely want to retweet the room. Um, to be in the drawing, you have to have retweeted the the pin tweet at the top.
motocoasterWith the space and you got to be in here and just to let everyone know one more time.
motocoasterStarting next week, we've got a new cadence.
motocoasterWhere we're going to be covering all aspects of this. So Monday we're going to be.
motocoasterFocusing on features of the app. Um, on.
motocoasterTuesday, we're going to be really sharing deeply about ourselves and our lives getting to know each other. Wednesday we're going to be talking about making money for ourselves and for the collective. On Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, it's all about meeting all the.
motocoasterThe thirst traps in uh in this ecosystem and on feature Friday, it's about shilling your art, your projects, either things you're holding, pumping your own bags, or stuff you're trying to launch. So I'm going to say we're close enough, kid, can you do the honors? And.
motocoasterAnd let's see who won.
motocoasterI'm sorry.
motocoasterSorry, I'm doing the honors. How how am I doing that? See the one.
kidonthephoenixHex Hex is doing the.
motocoasterI was gonna say I was like, how do I? I don't know what I do to decide the winner, but I'll do it.
kidonthephoenixAnd that's too funny.
robertwhetselYeah, so I'm going to.
robertwhetselI get a drumble as I do disdain.
robertwhetselThat's the worst drum roll I think I've ever heard. Sorry guys, I I let you down all there, I apologize.
kidonthephoenixAlright, so I want to make sure that I had the correct treat on Mondays. Is that the one you want?
robertwhetselIt's got all the lists on Mondays to start or at Hellbenders. Which one's the main one you want? Ohh. We could have seven figures. Is that the one?
robertwhetselDo.
robertwhetselNo, no, no. It's the one that's, um, pinned on mine. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. After meant we could have seven figures, yeah.
motocoasterOK, good, because.
robertwhetselBut my stuff is completely.
robertwhetselUmm.
robertwhetselStupid.
robertwhetselAll right, because I have to log in on my computer to do this.
robertwhetselCan still be on this on the phone for the mobile.
robertwhetselStupid Twitter.
robertwhetselSo I'm going to share this at the top of the room again, just so everybody has it, this one I'm sharing. You definitely want to retweet it because you got to be reached, you have to retweet it. That one I think to be in the in the drawing.
motocoasterOhh, you gotta you gotta laugh. We'll have to do it again.
robertwhetselNo. Tell me because.
motocoasterIt it it is the kid this time. Not not kid, not bareness, but the kid.
robertwhetselThat's funny.
motocoasterPork. Whose pork?
robertwhetselAll right, ohh, no pork is left. You have to be present to win.
motocoasterThat damn it.
robertwhetselPork's gonna be bummed.
motocoasterFraas.
robertwhetselOh, Oh well, let's take a dip.
motocoasterYeah, the next one was the chicken man.
robertwhetselDude, hell yeah. Let's go.
fwazsolAlright.
motocoasterAwesome.
motocoasterYou guys know my Salona address? Let's go.
fwazsolDo this.
fwazsolYeah, I got you.
fwazsolYep, you can just drop it to me on telegram and drop it to the kid.
motocoasterAppreciate it. Appreciate it everyone. This is a beautiful piece.
fwazsolWell.
motocoasterAlways going to own one of the kids pieces.
fwazsolWelcome aboard. You're also about to get a hellbender in your wallet.
motocoasterWelcome to the kids, fam.
kidonthephoenixRain on?
fwazsolLike, thank you.
fwazsolNo, you're already there. I hate like I I did a group chat, but I'm already I think I'm already gonna delete it because I can't keep up with group chats and it just annoys me. And also like.
kidonthephoenixI don't like the concept of you having to own a kid piece to be, like, considered part of my family. Like, I hate that. Like, I don't like it, but I get it with NFT projects. So yes, with hellbenders, great. But with a kid piece, everybody in this room long before you get a kid piece, you're already in the fam, but it's an honor to be in your collection now. Flaws and yeah man, couldn't be happier.
kidonthephoenixMan language.
fwazsolAll right, here goes. The official picker is going to be posted up and the tweet is out.
robertwhetselSo everybody jump on that and hit it, hit it, let let people know who got what.
robertwhetselAlright.
motocoasterVery cool.
motocoasterAwesome.
motocoasterAppreciate you guys. Seriously, that's awesome.
fwazsolWolf was why don't you?
motocoasterCan I technically win?
fwazsolWhy don't you do the honors of taking us out? It's 4:30. We do these 90 minutes. Why don't you do our our closing prayer?
motocoasterWell, I mean, what closing prayer? Is there actually a prayer?
fwazsolI just totally made this up. We've never done it before, but.
motocoasterOK, I was gonna say like I'm I'm about to do a prayer real quick.
fwazsolNo, the benediction whatever. Closing ceremony.
motocoasterNo, I mean alright, well, I mean it's been you know, like an hour and 30 minutes. Uh, personally, I have to go and do some laundry because I am out of socks. I just figured that out just now.
fwazsolOhh. I'm gonna go do laundry and make myself some eggs and some breakfast. Have have a good day night wherever, wherever anyone else is. Um, everyone. And yeah, we'll see you tomorrow. See you on Monday.
fwazsolPerfect. Thanks everybody so much. Have a fabulous weekend.
motocoasterMuch love everybody.
kidonthephoenixWell.
motocoasterYou said everyone.
fwazsol
