Really shifts things is that you create real bonds and friendships. And that's something that I always talk about in the NFT world or any kind of art scene, is that there's a difference between your audience and your community. Your community is people you meet in person or on the phone or you have relationships with and you can help each other with versus, you know, an audience that loves your work and wants to connect through your work. So those are two different things. They're both valuable.

Yeah, man, your energy is something else. And, you know, I talk about you a lot. And I was like, man, why you talk about Ali so much? And, you know, again, that connection and, you know, the the way you connect with your community, though, it's not just me. It's there's so many people that feel connected to you by the way you move out here and the way you conduct yourself. And now we have a a great relationship with so many people with our within our EMS community, plus the VC community. Give us some, give us some clues. What's going on with Kiku's metaverse. What's happening?

Lot of stuff. And so with Kiku, you know, Kiku is joined the Tokyo punk verse. I mean she was a Tokyo punk to begin with. We just it was a secret until later. Later.

One of the coolest things that I'm doing right now is called bad bunnies and it's going to be a collection on Cardano and the idea is that, you know, the chain or the platform really doesn't matter when you're talking about IP and building brands, right? So my idea of building Tokyo punks on multi chain, you know, really establishes the idea that these, you know, IP's are supposed to be everywhere and I want to grow the brand as white.

And as big as possible and then bring bring it back to the collectors. So bad bunnies is a new character and that joined the you know join the family. They are not the bad guys they're just misguided. So they're going to need a little bit of healing from the Tokyo punks and the healing codes. So we're I'm kind of building the story a little bit more complete overtime. So this and one one drop at a time. So it's a 10K project.

A lot of different traits. Really really exciting and you know again being on Cardano is new for me but I I'm excited to meet a whole new group of you know a new community and bringing them into the Tokyo Punks fam and you know when when they do join they do get access to the TKP Kawaii Club which has a lot of benefits. I'm not a big believer in utility but I am a huge on advanced benefits and as I always say love is the.

Art is the utility. Love is the road map. Those are my taglines, and I stay true, you know. True to that when it comes to my work. So.

You do a lot of, you do a lot of burns also, right. Probably like with a lot of your works in terms of like increasing the scarcity and for like the current collectors and people that supported like a specific piece or whatever. I feel like I yeah, right. Why just curious. I mean other than the obvious.

Well, I mean, you know, look, when you're an artist and you're, you're selling art, that's you're in the business of selling art, right. And at the same time, you know, I'm not one for scarcity. I mean to get to my openc account.

You can go to fuckscarcity.com, fvckscarcity.com because I believe in an infinite universe and a lot of you know, so I'm not one for creating fake or FOMO, I've always been against that, right. The reason why burn things is because the strategy of the market had changed and shifted for me, whereas I was selling additions of 20 to 50 for $1000 apiece maybe six months ago or a year ago. Well, that that's not working right now.

Right. So the the transition was to sell, you know, higher editions at more affordable prices at like 60 bucks, 70 bucks. But you know, when there's not enough people to support a drop of 250, you want to be able to not one not leave it out there for too long because you know I am again, I'm an infinite being. I'm constantly creating until I die, right. So I want to be able to share more without you know putting too much out there, sitting out there and at the same time.

So I got into NS. It was like four or five months ago, right? And when I saw the edicon, I remember like he came on a program that I used to co-host on, which was the Queens Court with Lori. And to our surprise, like we never asked for anything. We just wanted to guess to kind of come on. But he was so gracious,

He was like 2 pieces each. He gave us the one like the parallax. He gave me the parallax and the tantric soul and I held on to them. I rocked them as my PFP for months. I would say like probably a month and a half, two months until I realized like ohh man, like I came, you guys hear me on the D Gen side of the ENS stuff and I'm like man am I really going to sell this shit? Am I really going to sell this stuff right now? I was like, I really want to do this, I really want to do this. So I sold th

Started me off. So when we're at Decon, I'm like, I gotta tell you something. I gotta confess something. I I don't know how to tell you this because it's a weird thing, right, to tell an artist where it's like, hey, listen, I.

Soldier stuff. You know what stuff you gifted me? I kind of sold it and I don't know how to tell you about it, but there it is. And he was like, ohh, that's cool. He's like good. Ohh man no, I'm, I'm glad that happened. You know, the The thing is back in the day, I always wished to be able to do something where at some point I could get to a point where, you know, if I was having a hard time, a friend of mine would be doing well enough so he can like give me a piece of his painting and I could sell it and make you know pay my bills or you know, or vice versa. And to be in a position where I can do that sometimes even if it's you know, a few bucks here and there, it feels

Now it just feels great. I think one of our developers, a couple of weeks ago, he's like, hey, you remember that piece he gave me? I'm like, yeah, he's like, dude, we sold it so we can pay one of our developers.

And then I was like, dude, that's really cool. And then I was like, wait, are we in trouble? Like, are you guys, are you guys OK? Because I don't know. I mean, that piece only went for like 250 like it was, you know? And so it's always interesting to see how it's how it goes. But no, the more the pieces move, the better. More people get them in their hands. I love it.

And when the pandemic started, all of that went away.

We've got a couple of events we've done. They've been a lot of fun. And yeah, man, we're going to do these every year at Deacon. That's it's every year at New York Comic Con. And God willing, and if I make the other events, we'll do the other events too.

Do you guys do San Diego this year? San Diego Comic Con?

We we did. I I did not, you know, I, I I just couldn't make it to San Diego Comic Con this year. But Vivi did. That was a pretty decent contingent there, but it's growing.

So that the New York event, there were 100 people. I mean New York, NY Comic Con is way bigger than Deacon as an event. But you know from the V FAM we had about 100 people in New York. But in Deacon man it was like I think that the pre party from a non V employee like me was like 2 or yeah it was about 2 or 50 people man. And 300 people actually signed up but it started late, you know what I mean? I think next year it's going to be like 500.

No, it was great. It was great. Great venue, great food, just awesome.

That's great man. That's great. That's great. So how's life been post Decon for you?

It's been good. Uh, you know, to be able to see a a really vibrant, you know, 2023 ahead of us, it's just been great. I I love seeing what's happening in the NFD community. A lot of the people that are building, they're like the true operators, the people who are going to stick around. I got one of them in the 2nd row right here. Tyler Faust, he mean, he's been incredible. He's actually ushering me into doing what he did last year or this year.

Which is I'm doing something with Reddit, so I'll have a Reddit drop in the next month or so. And it's just been great to get support from everybody and you know, you, you support others and you know, everybody gives back, which is awesome. Excited for holding the biggest NFT show in the world, as I do every year, called Stratosphere, probably mid 2023. Last year I showcased 800 artists. This year we're going to hopefully break 1000. We have partners, obviously you guys know.

Yeah.

Facial or partner, they they still have the show running if you guys ever want to see all the artists that were there and then we do it in in real life too, which last year we partnered with.

With Samsung and Maddox studios, and this year I might go back and do a Beijing show which, you know, we had a 5000 square meter gallery with a 50 foot display and that just brings so much love. There's no, you know, again, whoever knows about the show is there is no cost on the show. My partners basically pay for everything and it's there's no curation and no gatekeeping. So everyone's welcome.

Well that's amazing. That's that's really incredible. You know I think one thing that I realized and and and something that I shared with a lot of the different artists including yourself was you know the VC community. We're not just here to ban by NF's and make a shit ton of money. A lot of us really do care about the artist and the art and hearing the story collecting these pieces and you know you're you're welcome to come in you know to a lot of these.

To just share, you know, like give us an update on where you are and you know what's coming up and those kinds of things. So we have a couple of spaces coming up in December on art. I know I've shared both of them with you ones being organized with Miss Gecko and Dez.

On the 21st from no mistaken and then there's another one on the 23rd by the Omni hobbies. So you know super excited to have you there and and just you know just to share I think the VMS some some of them know you well but some of them are still sort of in that early stage of discovery and so it'd be great to you know share some of your story and background and.

And Sanjay it's really funny because like I like I in ENS and where ENS is right now I'm seeing I'm like I've seen this movie before this is where B was like last time like just in terms of like growth and how like like crazy it can be.

And I'm curious like are you, are you currently building on ENS right now with anything or are you utilizing it in any way and if so, how, if not, maybe in the future pretty soon?

Yeah, you know, I, I haven't been able to go down that rabbit hole yet. Um, I do have my own DNS addresses. I was lucky enough to be part of the early, you know, where people are like get your name before you get, you know, you lose it and all that stuff. And it's just been, you know, great to be able to do that. There was even a, they did a payout, which was really cool for whoever was early for having domains. That was really cool to be part of that, you know?

Wine drop or whatever they call it and and to be on their you know on their Dow and be able to have a voice you know it's been wonderful but I don't know enough about it to to go further and for sure like later on I would love to join in you know in conversation with with you to see what I can do with it.

At at some point in time and earlier in the year and I was just watching these guys and I was you know very interested in the artwork. So then you know that's when I you know connected. I saw the showroom as well. I'm also a big and spatial. So I was kind of first explored sabitzer worked through you know Dez is one of one work through DES and and and relax and then I saw the gallery and spatial and I was very blown away and I was like you know look I really do want to collect this art and.

Interestingly, the first piece I bought was actually a collab between Sabet and Cynthia, who was an artist in in in Buenos Aires and that was Kiku goes back to Tokyo. And it was like a mixed media thing. It was digital, but mixed media where you had, you know, Kiku overlaid on an image of Tokyo and it was and it's, it's you know, it's animated piece and I loved that piece and then ended up getting another one of 30 pieces which had like the V kind of.

Owe me kind of red thing on it. That's a piece that Laurie myself Rolex David you Alcon these guys all you know we have some of us have this speed that piece. So yeah man that was it. And then you know obviously Deacon was when we first met in person I was like damn, I met, I met some met in person. I'm like this this man is huge man like.

But yeah, man, this is, you know, this is when you meet some amazing people who kind of influence you in many ways, right. And so I wanted to kind of bring up, I don't know if if you guys have covered this and I don't think anybody here knows it, Sabat, but I have a friend who is struggling with an ailment. And Sabet is deep. Like the man is not just into art, man. He's deep into energy and Reiki and the whole, you know, flow of energy.

And he did some energy healing for my friend, which had a massive impact on him immediately as well as later. I mean, maybe the right you can tell that story, but you know, it was just a man that that blew me away, that touched my heart, man, in so many ways.

Was that was that at the the after party event or was that a decal?

Yeah, I saw that, man. Yeah. It's about man. You're healing touch, man. It just, you know, out of this world. Yeah. Please take that story if you'd like.

Yeah, I mean I I was blessed that about you know ever since I was a kid I was always interested in the healing arts and figuring out how to, you know play with energy and you know knowing kind of intuitively knowing that everything is kind of energy based. You know frequency, energy, vibration, those are the things that that I work with. In 2016, I started writing a language I can't recall the love script and that's what my project, healing codes is about. You guys can check it out on healing co

So there there is a it's just a part of me that that's always been there. And then it got activated in 2019 and I started to be able to actually help people on a deeper level by just activating their own energy pathways and don't even really know how to scientifically explain all of it. But I've seen some miracles happen in thousands and thousands of feelings that I've done for a while during the pandemic. All I was doing was doing healing.

And then and then it just kind of didn't fizzle out. It just got integrated into what I do daily. And you know, it was more now, it was more coming. You know, when I was working and I, I always had a feeling I was messing with energy, but now I knew that it's it's as real as, you know, the physical table that's in front of me. And so it just gave me a nicer place to to move from. So what I did for our friend.

That night it was just basically activating his own body to heal itself. And it's fairly easy to do and it's something that everyone can do that's interested to learn. I I read a book called Quantum Touch and that kind of helped me understand more about raising frequencies and vibrations and and then how to guide it towards people, which is a lot easier than it sounds. It's almost as if just by thinking about people they get better. I'm happy it worked for him, or at least you know.

I just.

Gave him a sense of more, that we're more in control of our physical beings than than we know. And traditional medicine is great and I think it should always be followed. But this, you know, takes it to another level, so I'm happy. I hope he's doing well. I just, he just reached out to me to actually find a practitioner closer to his home and I sent him a couple people, so hopefully it works out.

Yeah, he spoke, you know, he and I chatted about it twice, actually, once after the event and then, you know, a couple days ago as well. And and he, you know, talked very highly about it. But, you know, my mom studied this as well. I mean, obviously with a name like Sanjay, I didn't grow up in the US or the accent like this. I came from a from India. But my mom, you know, took classes on, on, on energy healing. And, you know, there was a point in my life where I was pretty much, you know, almost

And, like, literally, I was almost dead, man. And, you know, I don't know if that was specifically the thing that helped me, but, you know, my it was something that my mom, you know, used on me as well. And I could definitely feel, you know, the impact of that, that energy.

But yeah, you know, I mean I think at the end of the day, man, like, you know, beyond just that, right, life is about energy and positive vibes, you know, a positive vibe, whether it's a smile or a word or anything else, it's positive energy too. And and I think the world could use a lot of it, right. So that I mean with with where we are today with how things, you know, just with the economy and a lot of other stuff, man, like people go through ups and downs, economies go through ups and downs

You know, it's just people like you who who have that ability to and mass spread positive energy and you know be great to hear your thoughts on that.

Yeah. You know, when when I came into the NFT space, uh, you know, as far As for me it was very natural. It, it was a little scary at first, but and I had, you know, for a couple of years I've been doing the practicing of the art and all that, the healing arts and stuff. And I realized that as long as you have your vibration and frequency up, which is again very easy to do if you're conscious about it, everything else just kind of falls into place. So whether the.

The economy's going to shit, or, you know, you're having a hard time with finances or something else that's going on in your life. Life becomes a lot more, a lot easier, and there's a lot less resistance when your frequency and vibration is up, right? So anytime you get an opportunity to share that with people, I do. And it's not, you know, again, it's so easy. Blake will share with you kind of like how I, you know, took him through like a basic heart activation and.

That's something that anyone can do anytime, anywhere, like daily. And then once you've shifted and once you have felt what it feels like to have, you know, operate from that frequency, then you want to stay there all the time. So as soon as you start getting a little bit anxiety or you start falling, you know, lower vibration and you're like and maybe you don't call it lower, lower vibration, you're like, I just feel like shit today. I just don't want to do anything. There is, you know, simple

Last year in Art Basel and I told this story to Blake and Chad and some of the NS Max. He's in a different space before but and I think I've shared this space in in one of our shared the story in one of your spaces when you dropped the healing codes collection Umm. But you know when we met I was it was really really not I was not in a good space of anything like and you.

Extended I am. Healing for me that was so resonant. And I think I shared with you that like that day I was.

Oh, selling art for someone else. Like I was. I was selling someone else's art with a gallery in some hotel that I was, like, working with.

It it doesn't matter. But just to paint context. Like, I'm in this gorgeous hotel selling someone else's art and I'm an artist myself and now, you know, I'm fully focused on that and the art healing and the mission to unlock 1 billion closed minds. But at this point in time, I was like involved in really toxic relationships. Like, I had a toxic work relationship, a toxic romantic relationship. It was just across the board. Like, really not.

Ideal and I was. I had an awareness about vibration and frequency, and I still was choosing things that were out of alignment and when we met.

I was clearly not in a good space. You could see it. But we connected over art and put through my sketchbook and we were talking and you gave me this healing. And that next day I woke. I didn't sleep at all that night because I knew I was. I was not living a life. That was my truth. And the next day I woke up and I went right to where I was working. And I told him, you know, I quit.

And then I went back to the dingy ass hotel this first when I was dating and I broke up with him and I just.

Oh my God I didn't know that. That's crazy.

Yeah, I made, I made all these changes and it was really interesting like how fast things started to shift. And then this whole year I've been traveling and just experiencing like what it is to actually heal an extending that out into the world. And so transportation and energy is just so real and now I am fully focused on like my own art, which walks people through.

You know, through music actually, but connecting through NFTS and transmuting energy up the energetic scale from power from force to power and so I wanted to share that because #1.

It certainly was a catalyst for my own healing experience, and #2 you would have probably never known that. Didn't tell you so.

Bad bunnies and the.

That IP you're talking about, the Tokyo Punks IP and Brand is priority number one. I'm just curious like what is what is that all about?

So, uh, if you look at kind of my history as an artist, I I have two, basically three different lanes that I operate in. One of them I stopped about five years ago, which was a designer. I was a designer for 20 years. Branding, logos, websites, packaging. The 2nd lane was always character based IP development. So I wanted to be kind of like the next Hello Kitty or a baby Disney. And that was the goal for every single project that I would start one of the main projects that I started.

About 20 years ago it's called Pixel Pop. Pixel Pop, which is also an NFT projects that I launched as well.

Throughout that process, then, the Tokyo Punks was launched last year, February of last year, which did really well. It was a it was a collection of 5000 hand. I called it organically generated because they were all hand painted on paper and then converted and transferred into the computer to be generated into a full PFP project. So it was 4850 characters that did really well. It's sold out in 26 minutes and I think it did.

About 3000, a 1000 E volume on the secondary within a day or so. So it was a really successful project and.

Even though the art was kind of like the rudimentary version of what I saw Tokyo punks to be as a vision, it was the beginning of something that you know, once I create something and put it out there in the world. That's just the beginning. Right now I'm building stories, building more characters. So the next version of it is going to be multi dimensional beings that are Tokyo punks, hyper kawaii. So it's the next evolution of Tokyo punks. But before that happens there are other characters that

Which was a very limited edition. If you go to uglykitties.com you can go directly to the open C and see the characters. There was I want to say 320 Bunny, I mean 20 kitties and they're they are are now part of the Tokyo punks verse. And then there is, you know, then there's a.

The bad bunnies, which are also part of the Tokyo Punks versus this year, at the end of the year, I made sure that I start to consolidate all the character brands under the Tokyo Punks brand and so I can build it and also bring a lot of value to holders ahead of time. So I don't like to talk about utility like the other folks do in the NFT space. It was something that just always rubbed me the wrong way. For me, it was about what are the benefits ahead of time and so.

For me, it was about love. You know, art is a utility. Love is the road map. Therefore there was no promises beyond the art. But now it's gotten to a point where I have the kawaii club, we have multiple discounts for different companies. And if any of you have businesses that you would like to promote through Tokyo punks by offering discounts to the community, you're more than welcome to reach out to me via DM and we'll make it possible to access the community. So now you know the the there's I

And I think total I probably have about 20,000 collectors globally that can access the kawaii club by just being a holder of one of my NFTS. So as far as the brand goes, the idea is to build a brand through these character releases as drops. So bad bunnies will be one, ugly kitties will come back after Tokyo Punks 2 is dropped and then build the brand to a point where we can also get off of the NFD platform. So NFT platforms will become a launchpad.

For uh for IRL events, IRL merchandise, which I already have on Tokyo punks com and we're going to scale and expand that and then hopefully get into graphic novels, toys, animations and so on and so forth. So I'm here, you know, there is no set time or date to accomplish these things as I am not, you know, a direct businessman that builds these things, but you know, I'm open to.

What's to come and as these opportunities open up already speaking to some CIA agents that are interested in the IP to be able to take it out into the real world. My cousin, I'm blessed, one of my cousins writes movies for in Hollywood. So he's giving me some guidance and some of his connections and his agent that's been in the in the game. So we've been talking about that. So that's the idea. But at the core of it, when it comes down to the NFTS, it's about the art.

So I make sure that I'm putting my energy. I don't hire artists to do these things. I want to make sure that every line and stroke is mine. And so, you know, authenticity is key for me when it comes to these projects.

100% man and you definitely do the authenticity because man you know those I've seen you man you're your flow on your lines are just you know Immaculate. Are you do you currently do anything for like your collectors for like IRL events or anything like that? I have. I haven't had uh, you know, the opportunity to do that directly like come to Assabet event, but when we did NFT NYC, I we did a Tokyo punk show with my friend logic. He threw a show called sugoi and basically we took over that show for a few hours, for about four or five hours. And I think I I did a signing there for about 8 hours and then the next day I had with spatial, we had the Samsung.

Oh my God.

Theater, which I did another eight or nine hours of signing over there. So. And that was for stratosphere, for my for my art show to showcase others. So I was there myself to also do to meet people. And I think you know, I remember at least hugging about 500 people that weekend. Coming home and not having COVID was was incredible because everyone I faced that that week from NFD NYC had COVID when we came back. So I was I was lucky.

There's a lot of energy going protecting me.

There was everybody got sick at end of the NYC. There was not a you're right, there's not a single person I remember that I spoke to that wasn't like, hello. I'm like, it was bad.

Exactly. That was the thing. So last question I want to ask because I feel like this is something that maybe like what I just heard right, is like there's always like a like an event, a party or production. Yeah, I'm sure. I mean, I always wanted. Just sometimes when I'm at a coffee shop or something, I just wanna tweet. Like, hey, who wants to come and hang out? But for some reason I don't. I think. I think it's something that I gotta practice on pushing myself to do.

And I was like, you know, I like to do things that I'm really interested in like I love and it has something to do with art.

And so I came up with this idea of like maybe purchasing a small home that I can afford in a place like Joshua Tree. I don't know if you guys have been out here, but it's beautiful, it's desert, it's gorgeous. But take it a step further and go out there and like do a couple of murals in the house, build a little mini studio in there where people can feel like they're artists. If they are artists, they can feel at home, leave canvases and things like that. Paint the outside of the home in a in a

And you know build, build out that side of the business there over time. Not sure if it's a great grant was like what are you talking about one, do you need you need 20? I was like well, I don't know how to I got to learn from just doing one first so but not sure if it's the greatest idea. I think from an artistic standpoint it feels amazing. From a financial standpoint again I'm not too sure but who knows.

It's basically a generative project based on the logo, a lot of hand painted art in it and it's 100% gifted project to all people who have collected my work. And you know it might be a 50,000 piece generative drop, but I don't care. It's about gifting as much as possible.

And there might be a a burn function for later on. I'm not advertising it but I'm going to probably built it in. So if there is something of value that I can give people because of the big there's going to be a huge supply when it's over.
